NOW what I get is from my co-workers (we work for a fairly large company where most have email access) who 'broadcast' emails to the whole company or to separate departments.

Someone should test this in court. If you were to similarly send porn to everyone at work, you would be in trouble. People find porn offensive. Complain that these xtain emails are offensive to you, a none xtian and that you feel harrassed and uncomfortable. It would be interesting to see where that would go.

I would rather recieve porn.

It's so easy. Whenever cre(a)ti(o)nisn strikes, I can readily arm myself at talkorigins.org. I'm not so good as to have all of the challanges to evolution memorized, but i feel familiar with the tiresome subject, and feel comfortable in the knowlege that all the knowlege and citations I need are conviniently hoarded away at a url I could gasp out with my last breath if I were shot.

Woo-woo beliefs call for a check first at skepdic.com, followed by intense googling or even liberary research. Attacks on atheism are repulsed by the repository of knowlege at infidels.org. Straightdope has eclectic usefulness, and a handful of others have served me too.

This is very nice, I feel almost as if the whirring hard drives are in my cranium.

And of course, google for everything else, especially porn.

I'm sure there are myriad point by point demolitions of this abortion out there. I've done several myself... starting in 1999. You might first want to advice your correspondant that they probably sould exorcise the word "new" from the title/topic line.

My mom sent me a version of the "you can't see the professor's brain" story.



Needless to say, I demolished it.

The only problem with that story is that if the little girl cut teacher's head open she WOULD see a brain. What's the point of the story, that we should all stop questioning and observing the world around us becasue someone supplies us with all the answers? Of all the things religions can promote, why is the unexamined life among the top 10?
