Here's a news report about Uri Geller that's pretty funny.

The Sun reports:

Uri is on to a loser

GOOD news everyone — Michael Jackson and Uri Geller have come up with, quite frankly, a genius way to solve the world’s financial crisis.

Basically, they’re going to hide subliminal messages in songs, which will make us all think happy thoughts and chase away that nasty recession.

One wee problem though. Who is going to buy the songs? Everyone knows they’ll be total and utter garbage.

Sonning spoon-bender Uri Geller has denied claims he is teaming up with his one-time friend Michael Jackson to psychically save Britain from the credit crunch.

Yesterday, a national newspaper reported Mr Geller, who previously claimed his positive thinking swept the Royals into the Premiership, was going to use subliminal messages to ease the UK out of the current economic doom and gloom.
...
Mr Geller told the Evening Post: “I don’t read this newspaper [referring to the national title].

“But a friend emailed me this morning [Thursday] and told me about it. But it is a lie – from the first word to the last.

“I do not speak to Michael Jackson anymore. I have not spoken to him for three years.”

Just thinking about Geller's track record, having him say that he's not trying to save the world might be the very best thing possible. Or even better, he could announce that he's trying very hard not to save the world.

The negative strike rate of that guy just has to be proof of .... something....

Rolfe.

I thought for a second reading the first post that Geller may have been onto something with the report of his collaboration on the 27th and his refutation on the 19th. Imagine my disappointment (but no surprise) that it was just a case of The Sun's reporting being woefully out of date.

Was it Sheffield FC he nearly destryed while trying to 'help' them?

No it wasn't ,I can't recall without Googling though which club it was.It was a Southern club.

Okay it was Exeter FC.
