Understanding the Liberal Mindset

So, ask a question and dismiss my answer because it doesn't match your expectation? What opinion have a claimed as fact?

It is my opinion that the notion of white privilege is a broad generalization. I think I have presented logical reason an occasional fact to support my opinion. It is clearly a fact that some progressive in this thread believe white privilege is a useful concept and have defended it. So, if I'm correct that white privilege is a broad generalization then I think it's fair to conclude that it is a fact that at least some progressives are ok with making broad generalizations about white people. I fully grant, you can't ever really say, "all" of anyone group believes a thing.

What facts have you presented? I must have missed the links you provided that established them as facts.

There's literally a section in my link titled Global Perspectives that addresses these types of questions.
In my opinion, that supports my contention that it is broad generalization.

White privilege functions differently in different places. A person's white skin will not be an asset to them in every conceivable place or situation.
I agree with that completely. It means much different things in different places, times, and with different white people.

Nope. Wrong again, but thanks for another laugh for making more stuff up.

Yes, a subject matter that specifically allows for nuance and context is at the same time also broadly generalized. Airtight logic.

There isn't White privilege. When was the last time you heard of a non-White person pretending to be White to gain advantage? Or a mixed-race person emphasizing their White ancestry? Doesn't happen. Obama - half White but was our first Black president.

Nope. It's a fact according to you.
Ah, another thing (many) progressive have trouble with, in my experience is sarcasm. I have in fact spent most of my adult life in deeply blue areas. San Francisco, Seattle, the central coast of CA. My in-laws are also deeply blue, my MIL was actually a dem politician. My local friend group is almost entirely liberal to progressive. Have some neighbors that are conservative, my sisters are.

My in-laws especially don't get sarcasm.

That is another thing I've noticed with progressives, not uncommon for them to believe there are lots of places where I could be surrounded by Klansmen. I've only actually known one and he was a black guy that the local Klan mistakenly invited to join. Which he did because that ◊◊◊◊ is funny. I never asked him if he had to pay dues, but he had a card. I suppose he might have made that up. Too good not to believe really.

Many folks seem to think Obama was the most racist president ever.

IOW, you made it up. I knew it, but thanks for proving me right again.

life is hard for everyone.

well, almost everyone. but i get why white people resent the implication that they got it easy. but i also think that implication is from taking the concept out of context, and people are also addicted to being mad at things.

anyway life is hard.

Sarcasm is not related to politics. Also, you have not visited the Soviet Socialist Republic of Australia. Sarcasm is our native language, left and right.
