Trump's US Threat to Greenland (which belongs to Denmark)

Denmark: Mr Trump, I see you are considering offering every Greenlander $100000 in exchange for US control of Greenland, is that correct?

Trump: yes, and that's a tremendous deal. You should take it. It won't get any better than that!

Denmark: Yes Mr Trump, it's a great deal, and everyone knows you're a tremendous dealmaker

Trump: The best. Everyone says it.

Denmark: We suggest another deal, which will be cheaper for the US and give you everything you need. Instead of paying every Greenlander $100000, we would offer instead that you pay them $50000 each, and in return the United States gets full rights to have military bases in Greenland wherever you want, in partnership with your new Greenland friends.

Trump: That'sa nice offer, but I can't do it, I can't do it.

Denmark: Ok Mr Trump, let's make it $20000 and we call it the Trump Treaty?

Trump: A tremendous deal, a tremendous deal. Best deal ever.

The nice way, or the more difficult way

Trump on Greenland: If we do not do it the easy way, we will do it the hard way. By the way, I am a fan of Denmark. The fact they had a boat land there 500 years ago does not mean they own the land. We will be doing something with Greenland—the nice way, or the more difficult way

DId he just give Native Americans permission to boot his arse into the sea?

It's in NATO. We all defend it. What part confuses you? The whole of NATO defends Greenland. Even you, by the way.
His statements today are essentially full confirmation that if a NATO state like Greenland is attacked by Russia or China, the United States will not defend them.

NATO is dead. We all know it, there's just still this forlorn hope that it can be resuscitated and the US return to "normal" in 3 years.

His statements over about the last year are essentially full confirmation that he will attack a NATO state if he wants to.

Yep. Trump will only defend things he owns. Treaties be damned.

The rest of us just need to think of a new name. I propose Not America Treaty Organisation. Saves changing all the stationery.

Doocy: How much money are you thinking of giving people in Greenland to get them on board?

Trump: I'm not talking about money for Greenland yet. Right now we are going to do something on Greenland, whether they like it or not. If we don’t do it the easy, we’ll do it the hard way

He doesn't want Russia as a neighbour. Has he looked at a map of the world?
