Trump's Second Term

Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump
It is actually possible that the total amount of money stolen, over the years, by Corrupt Politicians and Fraudsters, from Minnesota, will exceed $100 Billion Dollars. In any event, whether it is or isn't, the Theft, Incompetence, and Fraud is MASSIVE! Sadly, whatever numbers we find, California, and other Democrat run States, WILL BE WORSE.

Stay tuned! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP
Hang on a sec...

Who has just started a brand new club of bad guys with a billion-dollar entry fee? And they're gonna be holding all that loot for themselves?

That was the joke.

Like the White House showing a penguin walking with Trump apparently in Greenland.

Although my son's girlfriend is spending a year as an Au pair in Vienna and when he came back from visiting her, he told me that the airport has desk dedicated to explaining that Vienna is not in Australia.
Doesn't matter if they make the reverse mistake and come to Sydney looking for the Viennese cafes. We got 'em! ;)

I'm surprised he hasn't started going on about how unfair it is that he hasn't been nominated for an Academy Award. Maybe he'll kidnap the Mayor of Osaka. I was going to suggest a right wing actor could curry favour by giving him theirs, but I can't think of a living right wing actor that's won one.
Would they be allowed to? Since 1951 they haven't been allowed to "sell or otherwise dispose of" them without offering the Academy first refusal at a price of $1.

I take it that the American people know that the POTUS is an embarrassment to them and he is doing a huge amount of damage to the world standing of the USA, particularly in Europe? Americans have never been particularly popular in the UK, but now, it is safe to say, you are hated.
Plenty of Americans know. Plenty of Americans knew that crap like this was likely to happen if Trump was elected and most of us who knew voted against him. The bigger question are the right wingers who actually parrot Trump claims like "The world was laughing at us and Trump has made America respected by the world again!" It's ridiculous that anyone would fall for crap like that, but people do willingly fall for ridiculous crap all the time.

Who knew that in the Trump Biden debate it was Trump that had dementia? He listened to a few words, caught one word in it and went completely off topic immediately. Biden was having trouble answering in 2 minutes so his words seemed like gibberish.

Because some of the thoughts seemed like complete sentences, it was a little hard for the average listener. Trump had some phrases well memorized from all his rallies.

Yup

Not to get too philosophical, but:

Trump is the Avatar of the American Zeitgeist going through the Stage of Denial over the grief of losing its Primary Superpower Status and economical, technological, cultural and political dominance.
Voting for and supporting him lets you pretend for a while that maybe, just maybe, the American Project hasn't failed and that everything is fine if you don't actually look. Trump's distractions help us ignore our own mortality and that of our way of living - while he is alive and active, there is no need to think about having to change.
It's not just Trump and his posse that has no clothes, it's the entire concept of the American Empire.

The rest of the world isn't opposing Trump for the same reason a hunter doesn't chase after a deer he's shot: it will soon bleed out, faster if it's agitated, and there's not need to hasten its death at personal risk.

It's no wonder that Trump and many Americans feel a kinship with Russia, as it is very much in the same situation.

[magamode] "That's because they are jealous of our riches, freedoms, and power"

Nobody fears MAGA as no one fears someone who is clearly an incompetent, wind bag, man baby, who will back down.
I know that, you know that, most sentient beings know that, but I've heard that kind of reactions for decades from too many Americans every time they hear the smallest whiff of criticism of their country's politics … and it's as childish as it is tiresome.
