They can't actually remove or control Trump. I don't know what you expect them to do? They can try mind games but Trump has a dedicated team of urgers who push him to keep going forward with his crazy plans even when everyone else is yelling at him to stop.
 
he seems angry at europeans for being critical of the us and for not doing enough to fix america's problems for us. even when the problem is a complete betrayal of european allies. acknowledge the problem, but make sure you blame europe and blame the left, have to get that in there.

There are a lot of US bases in other NATO countries which could be closed. On the other hand, is that much leverage if Trump's looking forward to a post-NATO future where Europe is not in America's "sphere of influence". Perhaps hence why Trump "has to have" Greenland because, in the future he wants to create, it won't be protected by NATO.

Anticipating that imagined future, I'm curious about why he's suddenly blowing cold over the Chagos islands deal. He sang its praises until now. It's not like he'd have to invade Diego Garcia to get a hold of it; he can just sit tight and ignore any order from his new landlord to budge. So I can't see why Britain handing it over to Mauritius upsets him now. Is he worried by Indian influence over Mauritius? Or Chinese influence? (I say "he" but of course I mean his handlers throughout.)

Eta, they should start handing out the peace prize more often. Like four times a year, and never to Dump.

Lies? There might be a bit of vranyo Trump might use there, though? NATO's not likely to help Trump if he tries to "rescue" Greenland from its foul oppressors, after all.

The only country to have called on NATO so far is, of course, the US, and NATO did indeed answer the call.
The only way Trump's doubts about NATO's resolve make any sense is if you add an unspoken "after I've finished undermining it".

The US don't need to shoot a single bullet to really hurt Europe.
Trump just needs to order Microsoft and AWS to stop all services with regards to european customers and governments.
Well, in terms of AWS, he only needs to ask, since Bezos is one of his buddies.

Europe can retaliate and inflict and lot of economic damage on the US.
