Yeah but Trump will be long gone and his rich buddies will have entrenched the tax cuts so no one who matters cares, right?Nursing organizations are “deeply concerned” after the occupation has been “excluded” by definition as a “professional degree” by the Department of Education.
The decision is part of the sweeping cuts to student loans, overseen by Education Secretary Linda McMahon, laid out in President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”
The move has alarmed nursing organizations, which warned that limiting student nurses’ access to funding “threatens the very foundation of patient care.”

He doesn't care.Does he think the Saudis don't infringe on free speech?
Yup.If that country wants to expand women's rights, is that a DEI program?
They care, and they approve. But seriously, his base doesn't care.
In the back of my mind I've always wondered if Trump could switch to leftist populism as easily as he switched to right-wing populism. Like, he'd be all for UHC, unconcerned about DEI efforts, a cheerleader for more permissive (actually, saner) immigration laws. He appears to be falling in love with Mamdani. With a Democratic or at least bipartisan Congress he could have completely different priorities. We can be a bit blase about the hurt Trump does to some people, we should think more about the likes of Donny Jr and Eric's feelings. Can you imagine the hurt they feel when they see this picture?

What they would do to get such a beaming and admiring smile from their father.
Cue the old question : cui bono? Who benefits? Well the EU and other Western countries have DEI type legislation so relations with them will be downgraded. Who benefits from that? Countries who regard those nations as enemies - e.g. by providing aid to Ukraine.I don't know why the Trump admin would bother. As I gather, MAGA is all about the domestic agenda, this continuous manipulation of other countries is not really that high on their list of concerns. They don't want the U.S. to be a global police force. What is supposed to be the consequence of Trump judging every country on the planet? Since there are no practical consequences spelled out it's probably meaningless.
Does he think the Saudis don't infringe on free speech? If that country wants to expand women's rights, is that a DEI program? But seriously, his base doesn't care. Nobody cares. We do business every day with human rights violators, and I'm sure others judge us to be violating human rights. It's not much of an issue.
They care a little bit, maybe. Going by r/conservative, they want him to focus on domestic stuff, and back off from trying to be a global enforcer. He doesn't care.
Yup.
They care, and they approve.
He could reverse himself at any moment, and he's already downgraded relations with the EU so much that I'm not sure it matters. He's fine disavowing NATO which presumably benefits Russia. He can say the EU has just as bad a human-rights record as Putin - normalizing Putin's aggression - but in this area it's possible he'd get pushback from congressional Republicans. As far as I know, EU countries are not invading neighbors and causing wars that kill a million people.Cue the old question : cui bono? Who benefits? Well the EU and other Western countries have DEI type legislation so relations with them will be downgraded. Who benefits from that? Countries who regard those nations as enemies - e.g. by providing aid to Ukraine.
I've been around babies enough to recognize the facial expression they make when they fill a diaper. That was it.I don't think I've ever seen The POSOTUS really smile before. Bristle, yes. Smirk, definitely. But that one looks genuine, although unnatural. Probably because his facial muscles so rarely get into that configuration.
Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump
Massive crime and rioting in the Chicago Loop area. Multiple Police Officers attacked and badly injured. 300 people rioting, 6 victims shot, one critical and one DEAD. In the meantime, Governor Pritzker and the Low IQ Mayor of Chicago are refusing Federal Government help for a situation that could be quickly remedied. The people are chanting, BRING IN TRUMP!!!
Massive rioting in Chicago
Bring in Trump.
He means transgender surgery. That's what they always mean when they talk about "mutilation of children".Mutilation of children? Does he mean circumcision? I mean, he can't mean female-only genital mutilation. That would be DEI.
This may look like a joke and quack like a joke but it's a serious question.
The one time I've seen him genuinely smile was when he just made a joke about the size of Arnold Palmer's penis.I don't think I've ever seen The POSOTUS really smile before. Bristle, yes. Smirk, definitely. But that one looks genuine, although unnatural. Probably because his facial muscles so rarely get into that configuration.
.Thirty Minutes in the Lion’s Den: The Interview Trump Thought He Controlled
White Rose USA — November
There’s a strange thing that happens when you watch the full thirty-minute interview instead of the clipped version the internet tosses around. The edges soften. The masks slip. And you start to see the actual geometry of the interaction — where power sits, where insecurity leaks, where the tone changes, where the truth speaks by accident. The viral clip makes it look like a moment. The full meeting reveals a dynamic.
This wasn’t a showdown. It wasn’t a humiliation. It wasn’t a triumph for either man. It was something far more revealing: a case study in how a bully behaves when he can’t rely on fear, and how a principled politician behaves when he refuses the role of the victim.
Fear is the oxygen of authoritarianism.
Take it away, and even a strongman starts to sound like a man.
Isn’t it time for this to be amended? What possible use is it?Unfortunately, having been born in Uganda, he will never become President.
I agree. But, get 2/3 of each house of Congress and 3/4 of the state legislatures (38/50) to ratify it? Not likely.Isn’t it time for this to be amended? What possible use is it?
On this we are in agreement. If a person is eligible for citizenship, including all of its' responsibilities, then they should be eligible for every aspect of citizenship, including all of its' opportunities.Isn’t it time for this to be amended? What possible use is it?
Tell us you know nothing about AI without telling us.It's a computer, dude. Do you know how computers and their programs even work? Computers cannot change their minds. They only have a specific set of instructions, and they follow that to the T. They are incapable of using skepticism. If something is written into the code, then it follows that code. Period. It is incapable of questioning or suspecting a claim is rubbish. If you programmed into their code that there is an entire ocean sitting on top of the peak of Mt. Everest, then that is what it will put out there. Garbage in, garbage out.
What? AI is used on digital binary computers, dude. YOU have no clue how the ◊◊◊◊ it works. It's just a statistical model that "learns" how spoken human language works through LLMs. Large Language Models. It merely references sources that its programmers want it to reference. It doesn't make a single damn decision on its own, and it doesn't think on its own. It doesn't use an ounce of skepticism. It just blurts out whatever it is told to blurt out. Also, "AI" has existed since the ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ 1950s. We would never have had any sort of video games or interactivity ever if it didn't.Tell us you know nothing about AI without telling us.
