Trump's Second Term

The Turks invented all languages, so why did i have to go to school to learn a few, and why are there still languages i don't know? I suspect the Turks have conspired against us. They invented conspiracies, by the way. And conspiracy theories. And second terms.

It's all their fault! (And Biden's. Draw your own conclusions.)
The languages are one thing, but you also have to invent writing it down.
"Phoenician Alphabet: The Proto-Sinaitic script was adapted and further developed by the Phoenicians, a trading people who lived near modern-day Lebanon. Their 22-consonant alphabet was spread through trade across the Mediterranean. "
The Greeks then just adapted the concept to Greek.

You have quite an imagination! I merely point out the facts. I'm not a big Trump fan, though
the behavior and attitudes of people on this forum are a big part of the reason that I voted for him and would vote for him again if given the opportunity. Though I'm opposed to illegal immigration, I haven't had Trump's sense of urgency on it. Admittedly, we do have a lot of criminal Latino gangs entering this country. Sanctuary cities should be illegal. Interfering with ICE, including by providing sanctuary to illegal immigrants, should make the culprit liable for jail time.

I have a lot of long-standing issues with Democrats and Progressives that goes much farther back than Trump's political career. I watched the Left destroy the lives of small business owners who refused to participate in the new social order. The things that Clinton, Obama and Biden have done are outrages. That's the reason that Trump is in office. It always has been the reason. I would vote for Al Capone if that's what it took to drive back the Democrats and Progressives. I sure don't care about what Trump paid a porn star.
The highlighted is the part that needs elaboration. How much of your vote is based on how you perceive your opposition as people, and how much is based on policies? Serious question.

The infamous "I'm not a trumper BUUUUT...." whitewashing....

Like any other denier, it simply makes the person saying it look like a liar (and not a very good one at that)

"I'm not a sovcit BUUUT (bangs out stream of sovcit arguments)"
"I'm not a moon landing denier BUUUTTT (rattles off all the standard 'we never went to the moon' junk)"
"I'm not a 9/11 hoaxer BUUUTTTTT (micronukes, space lasers, hologram planes etc etc)"

Yeah that....

With a side of the standard 'i had to vote for him because you guys were so mean' concern trolling.

Because the guy who sat next to me on the plane wouldn’t stop going on and on about equal rights and healthcare and minimum wage and body autonomy and gerrymandering and no one being above the law and on and on and on, the fact that the guy in the cockpit at the controls is a certifiable lunatic whipping around the stick, changing altitude every eight seconds, doing barrel rolls, loops, and Immelmanns that so exceed the tolerances of the craft the rivets on the skin are abandoning ship, one aileron and the elevator have sheared off, while the oxygen masks drop down only to find he’s replaced the oxygen with ketchup, the likelihood of us landing safely much less on this planet is smaller than the chance of me ever getting a date with Margot Robbie, brings me joy.

Well done.

As Regnad Kcin says, "well done." If I were trying for an Onion-style speech to illustrate how in today's world we end up doing all the wrong things for all the wrong reasons, I could not have done so with such concision.

Trying too hard.

How were those cake bakers and car wash owners supposed to survive, what with having to serve people with BLUE HAIR!!??!?!

Have you no decency my good sir?
Reminds me of the main character in I'm Starting to Worry About This Black Box of Doom, who according to his dad has 'failed in every entry-level job he's been pushed into', and has ended up driving for Lyft and hosting edgelord livestreams on Twitch. Towards the end of the book he laments how unskilled and hopeless he is, and that that the only thing he's qualified for is 'women's work'.

So it turns out he was qualified and fully able to join the workforce the whole time, he'd just written off the things he was qualified for as 'women's work' because of the incel trash he was consuming in his online echo chamber.

Those changing social orders, man. That's how they get you.

Mike Johnson: "If they had no filibuster impediment, they would pack the Supreme Court. You'd go from 9 to 13 to 15 to 17 or however many liberals they could pack on the Court. You would see DC and Puerto Rico made into states, which would give 4 additional Democrat senators and make us a permanent minority. You'd see massive restrictions of 2nd Amendment rights."
Stop threatening me with a good time.

Shocking I tell you, especially with the impeccable Bari Weiss in charge.

Trump Told CBS What to Cut From 60 Minutes Interview—And They Listened

Donald Trump apparently feels he can now dictate CBS News’s content.

President Donald Trump didn’t seem so disturbed about CBS News editing his interview on 60 Minutes Sunday—in fact, he repeatedly told them it was OK to cut his answers short.

Just months after the Trump administration won a $16 million settlement from Paramount for a supposedly “deceptively” edited 60 Minutes interview of failed Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, Trump appeared open to being edited by CBS News—as long as it cut out his own flubbed comments.
While delivering a lengthy tirade defending his law enforcement crackdown on Washington, D.C., Trump tried to coax interviewer Norah O’Donnell into agreeing that he’d made the city safer. When O’Donnell tried to move on, Trump continued to bait her for an answer, according to the interview’s full transcript.

“I think I’ve been working too hard. I haven’t been out and about that much,” O’Donnell replied.

“Oh, that’s not a fair answer,” Trump interrupted. “You see the difference.”
“I get in my car and go to work and I go home,” O’Donnell said.

“That’s good. You don’t have to use that one. Don’t worry. Don’t worry. I don’t want to embarrass her,” Trump said, insisting that the difference in the capital was “like day and night.”

Later, while ranting about people he doesn’t like in response to a question that had originally been about whom he might support in the next presidential election, Trump made a similar comment while complaining about Harris, who he claimed “could not speak properly.”
“And actually 60 Minutes paid me a lotta money,” Trump said, quickly switching topics. “And you don’t have to put this on, because I don’t wanna embarrass you.” He then changed subjects yet again to compliment Bari Weiss, the bastion of the anti-woke movement who was recently made CBS News’s editor in chief.

Evidently, CBS News thought neither moment was newsworthy and ultimately cut both from the broadcast. Trump’s televised interview was only 28 minutes long, with CBS also releasing a 73-minute extended cut online. But neither video contained Trump’s full answer about Changpeng Zhao, the co-founder and former CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, who received a presidential pardon last week.

It’s worth noting that the edits 60 Minutes had made to the Harris interview were not particularly substantive, switching out one nonanswer about Israel for another. Many speculated that due to the payment of what was essentially a big fat bribe to the Trump administration, the long-awaited merger between Paramount and Skydance had been allowed to proceed.
