On Friday, Trump made this crazy claim about Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HA):

“She wanted a tunnel from the mainland to Hawaii," said Trump. "Then she said, ‘Well, we can’t do that, so we’re gonna build a railroad to Hawaii.’ Do you remember? She’s a current, sitting senator, a Democrat. She wants a railroad to go to Hawaii. You know
who that is, right?”

The trouble is, he's completely misrepresenting what she said which was actually a sarcastic reply to another false claim. In 2019, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez explained that the Green New Deal would allow for some emissions to be offset and quipped “because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.” This was then twisted by Trump and conservative outlets that AOC wanted to prohibit eating beef and replace air travel with highspeed rail. Hirono then sarcastically countered with “That would be pretty hard for Hawaii."

Nah, there's nothing mentally wrong with Donnie. Right?

Hollywood icon Robert De Niro branded Stephen Miller, President Donald Trump’s senior advisor, a “Nazi,” despite Miller being Jewish, during a savage rant on MSNBC’s The Weekend on Sunday.

The Goodfellas star made the comment in response to co-host Jonathan Capehart asking him about his claim, a moment earlier on the show, that Trump will not leave the White House in 2028. Capehart said he was on the same “wavelength” as De Niro and agreed with him, before the actor compared Miller to Joseph Goebbels, the high-ranking Nazi leader and chief propagandist for Adolf Hitler.

“No way! We see it we see it we see it all the time — he will not want to leave. He set it up with, I guess he’s the Goebbels of the cabinet, Stephen Miller. He’s a Nazi,” De Niro said. “Yes, he is, and he should be ashamed of himself!”

Miller is, among other responsibilities, leading the Trump Administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

Capehart did not push back on De Niro’s comment. Instead, he moved to a question about Trump’s White House posting a picture on X of him and Vice President JD Vance wearing crowns, in response to the “No Kings” protests on Saturday. The picture also included Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) wearing sombreros.

“It’s all nonsense. We know it’s all racist. I mean, that’s what he appeals to, that’s what Trump is,” De Niro said.
