Trump's Second Term

Quite a few of the big MAGA 'voices' have been complaining about New England's lack of Republican representatives.
They are planning on fixing it is my guess.

This is really something. New England's six states vote about 40 percent Republican, and have literally zero republican representatives in Congress.

OK, so let's take MA as an example.

First of all, its about 30-35% Republican. So you'd think they'd get 30% of the Reps, right?

Well, no, in fact those Republicans are spread thin throughout the state, if you look at it county by county there's only 1/2 dozen or so counties that are even "red" all lumped southwest of Boston. And these are not ruby red locations, they are at best light pink.

To gerrymander to the point of making a republican district you would have to run the district lines through individual houses to get anything resembling a GOP majority district.

And voting GOP doesn't mean automatically MAGA up in the Northeast. There are still old school Republicans. Running ads about how much you plan on fellating Trump won't get you very far, unlike in say Indiana.

More to the point, let's look at the two "weakest" Democratic districts, the 1st and the 9th.

The 1st is the largest by size and obviously has the lowest population density. Most sites rate it about D+8. The 2nd weakest in the state. So who did the GOP run to try and catch the 2024 "mandate" wave they claim to have? Nobody. The Democrat ran against an Independent candidate who was Ralph Nader's niece. GOP didn't even try.

Now over in the 9th district, far in the SE portion of the state its only a D+6. So maybe there's a better chance there? Get rid of that Bill Keating, Maybe. Except who did the GOP run? Just some guy. A male nurse who ran on making MA more affordable, fighting inflation and secure borders. No political experience. He as definitely a Republican but was hardly full MAGA so he got no support. He lost.

MA actually gets high ratings for not being Gerrymandered by neutral parties, but every Republican trying to whataboutism lists MA as a Gerrymandered state, showing their cluelessness.

These same whiners have Vermont in their listings, which is insane because they have just one Representative. How does Gerrymandering work again?

You can also look at the Maine 2nd district, which is the deeply rural and unoccupied northern part of the state. The district actually voted for Trump, but reelected the Democratic incumbent in a very close race. The GOP candidate was a former stock car racer who turned to local state politics before running for Congress, his main issue seemed to be border security, which is a little odd given I don't think you can be further from the Mexico border without leaving the Continental US/ Let us also note that Maine has ranked choice voting in place.

Connecticut and Rhode Island? They are very urban compared to most states and its no surprise Democrats will take all the seats in those states.

This is just pathetic whining.

But we were told they were violent terrorists who would set cities ablaze, it almost sounds like that was a total lie...
But you see, they were all secretly hoping for violent terrorists. That millions of older, peaceful protesters showed up instead just shows what losers they all are. They can't even riot properly!

Trump Demands Epstein-Obsessed Nemesis Be Removed From Congress

Donald Trump has called on the MAGA base in Kentucky to oust GOP Representative Thomas Massie from his seat in the 2026 midterms.

“Third Rate Congressman Thomas Massie, a Weak and Pathetic RINO from the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky, a place I love, and won big SIX TIMES, must be thrown out of office, ASAP!” the president raged on Truth Social Friday night.

Massie has been a near-constant thorn in the side of the MAGA administration since Trump assumed office for the second time in January. The Kentucky representative has often stood as a lone Republican voice of dissent against the party’s budget proposals including, most crucially, the president’s “Big Beautiful Bill” act earlier in July.
