Trump's Second Term

Wouldn't have worked, certainly not at the time. The MAGA cult was convinced that the "list" has a bunch of Democratic politicians and billionaires that aren't friendly to Trump.
Also, I mean, they're a cult. We know more than enough about Dump to know he's a horrible person and that he couldn't be trusted to run a hot dog stand, and yet they still worship him. In fact, cult members often grow more devoted the more they and their cult leader are attacked.

Sketches of deals.

Hassett: "The thing about President Trump is he became one of the most successful if not the most successful businessman in the 20th century because he was able to squeeze everything our of every deal that he made ... he's seen some sketches of deals."

He does know that the measure of success for businessmen is 'making money', not 'collecting bankruptcies, court judgements and felonies', right?

Bartiromo: The president has been considering you as the successor to Jay Powell.

Warsh: I think what we need is regime change at the fed. And that's not just about the chairman, it's about a whole range of people. It’s about changing their mindset and their models.
Away from sanity and towards sycophancy?

Seeing that I was a Moonie for about three months in my former life, I found this interesting:

As a former “Moonie,” Trump’s cult tactics are eerily familiar

By the end of the weekend I was agitated and frayed, unable to focus. That’s when it struck me: I used to feel like this all the time, when I was growing up in the Unification Church, a doomsday cult known for arranged mass weddings of its members. Founded by the self-proclaimed messiah Reverend Sun Myung Moon, the Unification Church gained notoriety in the seventies when members known as “Moonies” became ubiquitous on city corners, selling trinkets and inviting passersby to a nearby center for a meal. Dinner would turn into a weekend at a rural property, and soon new members would vanish from their normal lives. Accusations of kidnapping were leveled on both sides, with distraught families claiming the Unification Church was keeping their children away from them, and the church alleging families had hired deprogrammers to kidnap them back. Families were torn apart, a situation that was repeated again when church offspring like myself wanted to leave.

It would be churlish to claim that a man who becomes president of the USA was unsuccessful, but on the other hand to claim he was a successful businessman is so utterly false that, had I been present, I fear my lungs may have burst from laughing too hard in his stupid face.

I figure they're pre-softening. They're not sure whether or not the files will show up, probably in part because the damage would be so widespread that about the only person who could safely show the unedited files would be Mr. Rogers. But just in case they do, they have pre-emptively begun the process of saying they're fake anyway.

You don't know that. The MAGA cult wasn't the whole voting block. A fair number of voters weren't MAGA. Certainly there were enough voters that had they simply not voted could have thwarted Trump. For example: I found this moving,

I'll read it. Think the book I read on cults (not sure if I remember the name anymore) was written by a Moonie, too.

I myself just started watching 'How I escaped my cult' on Disney+, hoping it'll be enlightening.

The folks I knew weren't bad people, and as a matter of fact, I actually liked that they believe that everyone would eventually end up in heaven, even Satan.

But I have to tell you, "love bombing" actually works for a lot of people, especially for those who were alienated from their parents. You can see the similarities if you study the Manson family.

When I left them and hitchhiked to New Orleans back in the eighties, I ran across the group again and even had a place to stay for a few days and also food, and I didn't have to go out an fundraise either---I actually sold flowers for them up in Boston, and I was pretty damn good at it too.

I even went out "witnessing" with them a couple times.

They were accused of keeping people away from their relatives, but that wasn't totally true. They weren't keeping me from my relatives, especially since I was on the run from the cops, but I never told them that. I had a fake ID and everything.

The thing with the relatives was that some of the Moonies were afraid of deprogrammers, because of how their families reacted to their joining, and some of the stories I'd heard from both sides weren't very pretty.

As usual with every large group, some of the Moonies were just plain evil in my opinion.

Your mileage may vary of course, and sorry for the long rant.

The latest unhinged Trump responses to the Epstein fiasco has me wondering what will happen next...
I've wondered, if anything was clearly personally damning in the files, why not completely obliterate them or hide them when they are in your (FBI) possession?
But now Trump is backed in a corner, because for years he nourished the CTs that he now is forced to deny exist. So he either has to release 'something' that has enough meat in it to appease his base, or just admit it was a nothing burger all along.
He clearly is using his usual strategy of 'blame Biden and the Democrats' but it does not seem to be working this time.
My hunch is that the files implicate him but not in a necessarily criminal way, just in a way that would make him look bad, which for a person who is immune to criminal prosecution may be just as bad.

That.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonald Trump

What's going on with my "boys" and, in some cases, "gals?" They're all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We're on one Team, MAGA, and I don't like what's happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and "selfish people" are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein. For years, it's Epstein, over and over again. Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration, who conned the World with the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, 51 "Intelligence" Agents, "THE LAPTOP FROM HELL," and more? They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me, and now my so-called "friends" are playing right into their hands. Why didn't these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files? If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn't they use it? They haven't even given up on the John F. Kennedy or Martin Luther King, Jr. Files. No matter how much success we have had, securing the Border, deporting Criminals, fixing the Economy, Energy Dominance, a Safer World where Iran will not have Nuclear Weapons, it's never enough for some people. We are about to achieve more in 6 months than any other Administration has achieved in over 100 years, and we have so much more to do. We are saving our Country and, MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, which will continue to be our complete PRIORITY. The Left is imploding! Kash Patel, and the FBI, must be focused on investigating Voter Fraud, Political Corruption, ActBlue, The Rigged and Stolen Election of 2020, and arresting Thugs and Criminals, instead of spending month after month looking at nothing but the same old, Radical Left inspired Documents on Jeffrey Epstein. LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB SHE'S GREAT! The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024 That's what she is looking into as AG, and much more. One year ago our Country was DEAD, now it's the "HOTTEST" Country anywhere in the World. Let's keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
