Watching clips of Fox news totally blowing the LA protests out of control really angered me. But, seeing the clip of Noem immediately going on Fox 100% LYING about the press conference absolutely infuriated me. Fox is the biggest contributor to what is happening in America. We have got to do something collectively to destroy Fox News. (Is boycotting their advertisers even enough???) I just dont see anything changing for this country until we address this dangerous propoganda machine!

While a healthy chunk of FOX's revenue comes from ads, most of it comes from subscription fees provided by the carriers. We would al lhave to cancel our cable or streaming platforms. But, FOXs target audience are locked into their cable TV subscriptions. While they would probably have to cut back on the high priced "talent", I think dumping O'Reilly and Carlson proved that its not really about the specific talking head. They can put on any Aryan poster child or pick-me to scream whatever unhinged nonsense is the flavor of the week among the right. Of course, the main focus of the "talent" will be to draw attention to themselves, so they will go even further around the bend.

A lot of service providers categorize news and entertainment together. There's no legal or technical definition of a "news channel".

His wife is the only Trump with brains, which isn't saying much, they swung a 2 billion wealth fund with the Saudis after she left office...

I saw earlier that Trump claimed that Putin had fought on the side the USA during WW2, along with a bunch of other rambling statements, but hey apparently he is in perfect health and certainly not in a worse cognitive decline than Biden.
 
Its not that simple. The laws you are referring to in Germany are very narrow and specify the exact words and symbols involved. Even if you could get such legislation passed and through the courts, it wouldn't matter. There's a multibillion dollar media apparatus for this ◊◊◊◊. They just play with the language. One of their most commonly used tricks is to just throw out a few "questions" or open ended statements and let their audience fill in the blanks.

Much of their programming is officially classified as entertainment rather than news, yes. That's been behind much of their excuses at having virtually non-existent standards for what those shows vomit onto the American people. Like with Tucker Carlson and them pretty literally arguing in court that no reasonable, informed viewer would believe the crap that he spews as a defense against having to pay for defamation and slander charges. Of some note, when there's been conflicts between their relatively truthful news side, though that should have deeply problematic spin and absence of actual principle warnings attached, versus slanderous lies passed off as "entertainment," they seem to nigh inevitably side with the maliciously lying side. That media outlet's been cancerous for the US, either way.
