Trump's Second Term

He already owns ones. It's getting a bit long in the tooth for maintenance.
Actually the aircraft known as Trump Force One got a major overhaul in 2022. But I have seen some of the designs for the interiors that are done for the Boeing 747s delivered to individual customers in the Middle East. They are beyond opulent, and beyond anything you can cram into a 757 fuselage. Hence they are enviable.

Notice the DoD only get the aircraft 'temporarily'
When his term is over he gets to keep it.
That makes it an emolument, plain and simple. You can tell that Leavitt is lying about it because her lips are moving.

How much will it cost to fit it out with the extra's found on Air Force One?
Things like the communications, defensive systems etc. It's not just a standard aircraft with an office and bed room a brothel in it.

FTFY based on the footage I've seen. But then 'bordello but tackier' is kind of Trump's signature style.

Tariff agreement reached with China for 90 days.

Both countries have agreed to cut by 115%.

US tariffs on Chinese imports will fall to 30%, while Chinese tariffs on US goods will fall to 10%.
I could be wrong about this, but....

Unfortunately (at least for Stubby McBonespurs and the MAGAchud supporters), even though there is a deal to reduce Tariffs, the damage may already have been done.

One of the main exports from the US to China is agricultural goods, and those have to be planned out months in advance. The contracts for this probably needed to be signed earlier, and as such they probably cannot be "undone" even with a new trade deal in place. They are stuck with whatever trade deals were signed back when Trump was all tariff-happy. (Compare that to the export of manufactured goods from China to the US. Yes, there is planning involved in that too, but its usually less time sensitive.)

Plus, China has options... so they can still avoid the lower 10% tariff by buying agricultural products from countries like Canada, Australia, or Brazil. The US doesn't really have options for avoiding purchasing manufactured items from China.

And, as even a chimp could predict, the market loves the news.

DJIA +1,041.23 (+2.52%) today at this time.

Can an EO do this? Wouldn't this be a matter for the legislative branch?
Isn’t it so that if there is a national emergency, anything goes? And it is Trump who decides when there is a national emergency, which means that nobody (not even SCOTUS) can do anything about it, because there is no definition of a national emergency, and I think there is no limit on the duration of a national emergency.

Not exactly, at least by statute. While there is no definition of a national emergency in statute, there are categories of emergency such as for natural disasters or economic emergencies. The powers a President may exercise in each category are spelled out in the statute and may not be exceeded. This is ostensibly the basis by which the Supreme Court denied Pres. Biden's emergency exercise of power to forgive student debt as a consequence of the economic emergency declared during the Covid-19 pandemic. They ruled that the President was exceeding his authority under emergency powers.

I think there is no limit on the duration of a national emergency.
The nominal term of a national emergency is six months. But the President can extend that by declaration. Congress can vote to end a national emergency by joint resolution. But for example, some of the national emergencies declared after 9/11 are still in force today.

trending (soon): "fat shot drug"

Trump: "A friend of mine who is a businessman. Very very very top guy. Most of you would've heard of him. Highly neurotic. Brilliant businessman. Seriously overweight. And he takes the fat shot drug."

"I think what happens with the plane is that we're very disappointed that it's taking Boeing so long to build a new Air Force One"

It's a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ Being you cheese brained ◊◊◊◊.

@piersmorgan

As I repeatedly said when everyone was losing their minds over President @realDonaldTrump‘s global tariff war…. patience… let it play out… he’s negotiating.
And it looks like his negotiations are going very well…
Start a tariff war and then backdown to where he was already? yes, it's going really well.
I thought it was about stopping the drugs and bringing jobs and production to the USA?
Or is that old news?

He doesn't understand how many millions of tiny screws American workers have to put into it.

He made up a new word . . .

And it's the best word.
Finaily, now I know what all those equalizer thingies were doing to my sound systems all these decades, equalizing.
