Trump's Second Term

REPORTER: But we're seeing as a result that ports here in the US, the traffic has really slowed and now thousands of dockworkers are truck drivers are worried about their jobs

TRUMP: That means we lose less money ... when you say it slowed down, that's a good thing, not a bad thing

Say what???

Say what???
Is it even possible that Trump & co are actually getting worse, even on a daily basis?

My new favorite game is pointing out MAGA has become Maoism. My only solace is I never voted for this moron, and I have zero sympathy for those who did who are now being screwed by their Great Leader (more to come).

As far as Mattel goes, I worked in a toy store 14 years. In the late 1990s, as more companies moved production to China, there was a scare after some Thomas the Tank Loco toys were found to have lead paint. We were shocked, nobody in the west used lead paint at all by this time, and certainly not on toys. But obviously China had never received the memo about lead paint, and none of the smaller toy companies even thought to double check. The result was a new federal law requiring toy manufacturers to test their products for lead paint, something that the smaller companies could barely afford, and out of reach for start-ups. Mattel not only supported this legislation, the pushed it because they new it would eliminate most of their competition. And it did. So these pigeons coming home to roost is some small, brief justice before Trump caves.

However, the idea that the President can dictate what Americans can and cannot buy is disgusting, evil, and corrupt. Since 1942 we've been dropping bombs on countries that push that kind of thinking, but here we are.

ABC News are saying Trump is eying Fox News host Jeanine Pirro for top prosecutor in DC.
Pirro, if chosen, would be interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia.

Not to steal any thunder but I have long compared Trumpism to Maoism. Not only because of the cult of personality but because, like so many tyrants of varying positions, but with Maoists standing out in recent years, his followers are wedded to a doctrine that is pure and perfect. Changes are absorbed and disappear without a trace, and when it fails, as it so often must, it's the fault of wreckers and saboteurs and traitors, never the plan.
