Trump's Second Term

I wondered when he would get around to this
.President Donald Trump on Monday escalated his defense of former Mesa County, Colorado, Clerk Tina Peters, who was convicted last year in a scheme to undermine the 2020 election, calling her a “political prisoner” and demanding her immediate release.
In a post to his Truth Social media platform, Trump lashed out at Democratic Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser, who he accused of ignoring “Illegals committing Violent Crimes like Rape and Murder in his State,” while targeting Peters, an election denier whom Trump described as “a 69-year-old Gold Star mother who worked to expose and document Democrat Election Fraud.”
Peters was convicted in August on seven criminal charges related to a security breach that occurred in the spring of 2021 in her own office, according to media reports. Prosecutors said she allowed unauthorized access to voting equipment to prove false claims of election fraud – part of a broader MAGAfied movement to challenge Trump’s 2020 election loss.

“Colorado must end this unjust incarceration of an innocent American,” Trump concluded. “I am hereby directing the Department of Justice to take all necessary action to help secure the release of this 'hostage' being held in a Colorado prison by the Democrats, for political reasons. FREE TINA PETERS, NOW!”
Grampa seems really mad.

Marco is both Sec of State & National Security Advisor

(Post where Rubio confuses a reporter's name "German Dam" with the location of an electrical problem)
Question...

I don't follow Rubio's twitter feed (or that of any politician.)

Is it common for a secretary of state to comment on things like grid failures in other countries? Or is this some sort of childish attempt to belittle the Venezuelans by suggesting "ha ha socialism doesn't work! They can't even keep the lights on".

@realDonald Trump
I look forward to meeting the new Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney. I very much want to work with him, but cannot understand one simple TRUTH - Why is America subsidizing Canada by $200 Billion Dollars a year, in addition to giving them FREE Military Protection, and many other things? We don't need their Cars, we don't need their Energy, we don't need their Lumber, we don't need ANYTHING they have, other than their friendship, which hopefully we will always maintain. They, on the other hand, need EVERYTHING from us! The Prime Minister will be arriving shortly and that will be, most likely, my only question of consequence.

Apparently Carney is about to be taught a lesson or two about power and respect because Canada has less than 40,000 combat troops. It seems the only reason it even exists is because the US lets it.

BESSENT: The price of eggs was up substantially during the Biden administration. It has been brought down 52% in the past few months.

BISHOP: It just went up the past two months. I just told you. Since January. 26%.

This corrupt administration is just going to gaslight about the economy until people just give up and believe them.

We don't need their Cars, we don't need their Energy, we don't need their Lumber, we don't need ANYTHING they have . . .
Umm, yes we do. We're not going to replace those things domestically for years, if at all.

He doesn't know how any of this works.

Well okay Trump, you tell us: Why does the US buy $200 billion* in goods from Canada each year when it's all stuff you claim it doesn't need?
And does that "free military protection" protect them from you?

*Pick your preferred source. Trump's claimed $200b and $250b but I've also seen $70b claimed as the real goods deficit.

Here it comes
Here comes Trumpflation
It's a demon you'll feel
It's a demon
That you're gonna be feelin'
In your pocket

It's right around the corner
And I wish it was a lie
You'll see first hand
Just how little you can buy

Now with the odds against us
He's a dangerous jerk.
And with Trumpflation's effects
We're definitely screwed.

No Trumpflation
No Trumpflation
No Trumpflation
Please go!
