Trump's Second Term

it’s for sure a suicide but the vehicle and location are significant, and even more strange when you get into his background and social media activity. and the similarities with the new orleans attack, it’s very bizarre
Yes, suicide and not terror.
If he was in a group, the others also wouldn't have known much about explosives, which is surprising considering his background as an army man.
The apparently ineffective explosion was not amateurish. It doesn't appear to have been meant to be more than it was.
Driver in Las Vegas Cybertruck explosion identified ass U.S. Army soldier, officials say (CBS News on YouTube, Jan 2, 2024 - 6:51 min.)
They also found the large fireworks mortars. Some of them had detonated, others were not. The ATF pointing out that overall this setup that he had was not sophisticated. And to them, that was pretty striking, given that this was a green beret who had extensive knowledge with explosives and drones. And so they're saying that, if the did want to unleash some type of terror, that he would have been able to come up with a more sophisticated way of an explosive. That was not the case here.
It appears to have been more like the self-immolation of Buddhist monks in protest against whatever Buddhist monks protest against, a way of making the suicide more spectacular than if he had merely shot himself as he did before the fireworks began.
The combination of a Musk Cybertruck in front of a Trump hotel is still peculiar if the suicide wasn't meant to be a protest against the two guys praising the H-1B and thus sidelining the MAGA base.

With the Biden “Open Border’s Policy” I said, many times during Rallies, and elsewhere, that Radical Islamic Terrorism, and other forms of violent crime, will become so bad in America that it will become hard to even imagine or believe. That time has come, only worse than ever imagined. Joe Biden is the WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA, A COMPLETE AND TOTAL DISASTER. What he and his group of Election Interfering “thugs” have done to our Country will not soon be forgotten! MAGA

Not his own work. In the slightest.

Yes, suicide and not terror.

i think you'd need to know more about his motives before saying that. but to me, whether you could technically call it terrorism or something else is rarely relevant. if he was trying to make a political statement by doing this, that's what his motive was. if it was something else, then that's what it was. whatever it was, he didn't intend to live through it.

Suicide accompanied by fireworks isn't terrorism. And since he knew about explosives, he also knew that he wouldn't destroy much more than a Cybertruck. That's why I think it can't have been meant to be more than a protest.
I assume that friends and acquaintances will be able to disclose something about his political views if he didn't leave any tracks on social media.

pulling up to trump tower in a cyber truck and blowing yourself up is absolutely a political statement imo. i just don’t know what that statement is or even who it’s directed at

Trump is so trump-centered that he will try to force some things through that benefit Trump, but not any GOp senators at all. Do they have any tools to hold him back? They could do some sort of trade with "we will continue your tax cuts but we are not giving up on Ukraine or NATO." The democrats have no way of making any deal with him. They will have to work with the GOP senate.

The house is not going to work at all, and democrats there are the least effective.

Our Country is a disaster, a laughing stock all over the World! This is what happens when you have OPEN BORDERS, with weak, ineffective, and virtually nonexistent leadership. The DOJ, FBI, and Democrat state and local prosecutors have not done their job. They are incompetent and corrupt, having spent all of their waking hours unlawfully attacking their political opponent, ME, rather than focusing on protecting Americans from the outside and inside violent SCUM that has infiltrated all aspects of our government, and our Nation itself. Democrats should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen to our Country. The CIA must get involved, NOW, before it is too late. The USA is breaking down - A violent erosion of Safety, National Security, and Democracy is taking place all across our Nation. Only strength and powerful leadership will stop it. See you on January 20th. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

4 Courts
We tend to focus on the Supreme Court, given how hugely consequential its decisions are. But while it receives thousands of petitions, the Supreme Court reviews only about 100 cases per year. That means the vast majority of federal cases will remain in lower district and circuit courts.

During his term in office, Biden appointed 235 federal judges — just one more than Trump. That means that many courthouses are now sharply divided, so that even the famously liberal 9th Circuit isn’t quite what it used to be. Then there is the whole other matter of state courts, which are also becoming increasingly conservative.

All that will make the fight against Trump much more difficult for liberal attorneys general and progressive interest groups who want to stop the incoming administration from rolling back environmental rules and protections for trans people.

5. Will wars in Eastern Europe and the Middle East end?

Whatever your own views on geopolitics, the images and stories that have emerged from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Israel’s campaign against Hamas have been heartbreaking: flattened cities, maimed children, prisoners and hostages tortured.
(cut and pasted the end) At this point, it’s difficult to see either conflict ending soon, even with Trump’s unpredictable, unconventional involvement. Then again, maybe his unorthodox approach is exactly what other world leaders need to accelerate their push for peace.

The Tariffs, and Tariffs alone, created this vast wealth for our Country. Then we switched over to Income Tax. We were never so wealthy as during this period. Tariffs will pay off our debt and, MAKE AMERICA WEALTHY AGAIN!

I'm wondering if the plan is to tank the entire economy long enough for the plutocrats to buy up shares cheap, then undo the tariffs and make even more money when things return to normal and those shares shoot up again.

I think that Hanlon's Razor applies

About the (lack of) connection between the Las Vegas case with the one in New Orleans:
What we know about the suspect in the Las Vegas Cybertruck explosion (CNN on YouTube, Dec 3, 2025 - 9:58 min.)
That's what they're not finding. [i.e. a connection with New Orleans]
What they are starting to see, though, are personal issues in his life:
Things going on in his family life, that were problems for him. Things going on in his army life as a special forces Green Beret, counterterrorism, counter-insurgency specialist, signs of depression, signs of sadness about long deployments and being away, talk about PTSD, about, you know, the amount of violence that they're exposed to, the killing, collateral damage of noncombatants, civilians who were killed.
These are things that affect a lot of special operators.
So they are, as as they're looking for connections between the New Orleans attack and this explosion in Las Vegas, what we're starting to see is the cases drifting apart instead of together.
This could have been an organized suicide after a series of life depressing stressors and a final stressor that might have broken the camel's back where he wanted to go out, literally, with a bang in a symbolic location.
CNN also mentions that ...
... a relative of his did say that when President Trump was in office, he posted on Facebook saying that he had a lot of respect for President Trump, especially how he was helping the military.
A weird thing that isn't mentioned but can be seen on a map shown at 2:33:
On his way from Denver to Las Vegas, Nevada, he first stopped in Las Vegas, New Mexico, about 60 kilometers east of Santa Fe.
New theory: He killed the damned Cybertruck because it led him astray on his way to spending New Year's Eve in Las Vegas making him arrive too late. :)
