Rural Trump supporters, who do get satellite TV and could watch real news, only watch Fox. They are in for a surprise.
I guess the farmers will need to get their back yard vegetable gardens going.
Trump's Supporters In Rural Areas Are In For A Nasty Surprise
Buyer’s remorse is rampant since Trump and the GOP barely won the election. Muslim Americans in Michigan who supported Trump are now begging Biden to save Gaza from escalation from Bibi. Wall Street executives are alarmed by Trump’s tariffs. Hispanics...

Trump’s loyal supporters in the nation’s farm belt are (justifiably) worried that Trump is going to badly damage their $1.5 trillion industry. His extreme deportation plan is causing widespread panic among farmers at risk of losing workers and business. Agricultural output will decline between $30 and $60 billion if Trump’s signature deportation policy is carried out.
The soybean and grain dependent Midwest is especially at risk, since this part of the country needs the federal government’s program that allows certain companies to bring foreign workers into the U.S. to fill temporary agriculture jobs. The forced removal of immigrant farm workers will badly hurt Nebraska.
Those concerns are justified since soybean sales alone to China precipitously declined by a whopping 79% in the first two years of Trump’s presidency. According to the Nebraska Farm Bureau, Trump’s trade war cost Nebraska farmers $2 billion. By 2020, a whopping 40% of farm income came from government handouts. That bailout cost the U.S. taxpayers $28 billion.
The MAGA Republicans’ misguided policies won’t only harm the rural areas of the country, they will also jack up inflation. The deportation of 10 to 15 million immigrants will cause the cost of food and housing to soar. Imposing tariffs or taxes on food imported from Mexico and other U.S. trading partners will also cause grocery prices to skyrocket.
I guess the farmers will need to get their back yard vegetable gardens going.
