Trump's Second Term

1 Judges would need to order US Marshall's to arrest the administration. The US Marshall's ultimately work for trump..so he would call the Marshall's off. This is what will shred the constitution because the rule of law will no longer exist
2 (below that)
This is their plan all along. They have the votes in Congress to pass all of this so why exec order? To completely destroy the judicial system AND Congress in one blow.

He’s a dictator now.
At least in theory the special election in FL on April 1st (you can't make this stuff up!) could give the Dems control of the house back. Of course, the lone democrat who qualified for the ballot would be a long shot contender...

The POSOTUS named Ric Grenell as interim executive director of the Kennedy Center. It is (not surprisingly) not clear that the POSOTUS has the authority to do this because: 1) the Kennedy Center has never had the position of "executive director"; i 2) the board hasn't voted to approve this (it isn't even clear right now who is still on the board); 3) the POSOTUS had no legal authority to appoint himself as chairman.

Absolutely not. If you want to act corruptly, it is completely logical to get rid of anyone whose job it is to investigate corruption.

My mistake, but I also have, "Trump does something corrupt." That should work, right?

Come to think of it, most smart folks probably have that one too.

Damn!!! Foiled again.

Who's saying that?
Nobody. America has been the most spotlighted country in the world, since at least the 1920s.
"There's no such thing as bad publicity", right?
America gets bad publicity all the time. Sometimes it seems like half the people shining a light on it are hoping to illuminate something that will satisfy their massive hate-boner for the country. And you know what? It never really seems to matter.

I'm wondering what tourists are experiencing right now.

Trump on Fox

"The day before I heard the word 'covid' or 'pandemic,' I had a meeting with political people and pollsters and they said, 'Sir, if George Washington and Abraham Lincoln got together and ran as president and VP, they couldn't beat you.'"

Baier: Kamala Harris got 75 million votes

Trump: Well, if you believe the whole thing. The whole thing is ridiculous.

"If the election weren't rigged, this would've never happened. And let's see whether or not Fox lets you put that in. Do you hear me? Rigged."

Trump: "Canada has a very big car industry. They stole it from it is."

"The Canadian citizens would have a much lower tax rate, they'd have much better medical, and they'd have military protection like nobody can have. You know, you have Russian ships all over the place.

"That's why Canada should be our 51st state ... essentially we're putting on a 25 percent tariff without exception on all aluminum and all steel."

"There's practically no building that's livable in the whole thing, in the whole Gaza strip. I say we go in, we knock 'em all down ... in the meantime, I would own this."

Sure, but not usually from its friends. Quite seriously, don't you get any sense that Canadians generally are shocked and angry at Trump's threats?

While I'm on the subject, what are we to make of Trump's seeming belief that people of other countries want to give up their independence and become part of the US? Is it just bluster or does he really fail to grasp that people have patriotic pride in their own country rather than a secret longing to be part of his?

well he's right about ukraine. we're gonna have all this money in there, and he say he want it back

Trump diplomacy

"If all the hostages aren't returned by Saturday at 12, I would say cancel it and all bets are off, and let hell break out."

Sounds exactly like an aging, flailing, insane Mafia don try-hard with rapid onset dementia.

When other countries say to your face, "Sure! You're the Greatest Country On Earth!", I'm pretty sure your extreme jingoism blinds you to the sarcasm involved.
