Donald Trump went on a massive social media spree overnight that included posting on Truth Social an election conspiracy video that ended with a clip depicting former president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama as monkeys.
The racist depiction of the Obamas – the first Black president and first lady in American history – appears at the end of a one-minute video perpetuating the false and disproven claims that ballot-counting company Dominion Voting Systems helped steal the 2020 presidential election from Trump. The company in 2023 settled for $787.5m with Fox News in a landmark defamation lawsuit.
For two seconds, the video shows the smiling faces of the Obamas superimposed on monkeys bobbing to “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”.

On Thursday night, the president’s Truth Social account shared multiple posts and clips from followers and supporters, pushing conspiracy theories about the 2020 elections and attacking the Democrats over their opposition to voter ID legislation backed by the GOP.
One of the posts reshared by Trump appeared to be a clip from a conspiratorial documentary promoting the false claims about voting machines changing votes in key swing states like Michigan in 2020.
The video includes what appears to be an unrelated clip showing the former president and first lady’s faces superimposed on the bodies of dancing apes, with music playing in the background.
Leavitt said in a statement the video “is from an internet meme depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from the ‘Lion King,’” though there are no gorillas featured in prominent roles in the Disney movie.

If you multiply $199 by 6.78 (i.e. 1 + 5.78) you get pretty much exactly $1,350 which is "more than $1,300" and I suspect was the original price.

He's just trolling with the Trumpmath thing now but I suspect the arithmetic is right, only the method is defiantly stupid.

At least he's stopped trying to say it's a zillion percent "reduction." Now it's just a "difference." In business school and economics (or, for most of us, elementary school) they teach you that to express a reduction as a percentage, you divide the arithmetic difference by the original (higher) value and then normalize to the 0–100 scale:

(1300 – 199) × 100 / 1300 = 85% reduction.​

But yeah, Trumpmath is based on making numbers sound bigger than they really are. And people wonder why he was convicted of fraud.

Even if we charitably propose that he's thinking of it as some kind of reverse increase instead of a decrease, it doesn't work out.

(1300 – 199) × 100 / 199 = 553% increase.​

That drop is 88%, not 800%.

The fat clown once again proves that he's the original uneducated one.

I've even had an equally uneducated maga weirdo post in an MSN forum that this proves how amazing he is, because he's able to do something no other president has ever been able to do.

I responded by telling them that's because it's impossible (unless they pay us to buy them), but they just doubled down on their stupidity by posting that it proves he's the greatest president ever because he can do the impossible.

How do you even begin to argue with stupid people like that?
