I kind of expect the Melanie movie will be like the U2 album that they kept downloading/pushing onto people's smart phones (even after it was deleted).

Its like a competition. For the moment its Bessent, until Noem opens her mouth. Or Kennedy, or Navarro, or Lutnick, or Patel, or Vance, or Hegseth. Old school doofuses like Jordan, MTG and Tuberville are struggling to keep up.

Trump gifted Carney the Canadian election just by being Trump, and thus making any pro-Trump candidate utterly toxic to the voters. He did the same in Australia.

If Trump doesn't like what he's created I expect I can find a really tiny violin if you give me a moment to find my magnifying glass first.

Here is the thing....

He might actually have a point. Europe may be making trade deals that help fund the same country that is waging war in Ukraine. (I also think the Nordsteam pipeline was rather silly, bringing in Russian natural gas to germany.)

If it were any other administration making this criticism, it would be worth listening to. But since it is coming from the Trump administration (people who have been overtly friendly to Putin, and who seem intent on maintaining oil dependance with their "drill baby drill" attitude), it is hard to take them seriously.

But here is the problem... the US and Trump are so erratic and untrustworthy right now. Even if Canada "played nice" and did everything they could to appease the US prior to any future USMCA negotiations, it would likely all be for nothing the next time Trump decides to slap more tariffs on everyone.
