Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

KRISTI NOEM: We are conducting this investigation just like we do all other officer involved shootings

So far we have had it pointed out you don't routinely investigate shootings by police officers, and we had a shooting by an ICE agent you decided not to investigate. So, yes, I guess that checks out: you intend to investigate this killing just like you do all the others. i.e. not at all.

Well, it's a good job he didn't do that then, eh? Whoever this "Misfit Patriot" is, he's emblematic of the problem with MAGA and their cohorts- they haven't looked at the evidence, and they won't look at it, they'll simply follow without question the gaslighting narrative laid down by Noem, Miller, and the others.

And it strikes me that, for all the MAGA moaning about the violence directed toward "law enforcement" (ICE), the only actual meaningful violence is what's come from them.

If someone wants to come across as an embarrassing, shameful mess, all they need to do is use that word while being as wrong as it's possible to be.

We've seen it before.

(Assuming that by "that word," you mean "patriot"...)

Yes, we have seen it before. I remember in the 70's and thereabouts hearing a lot of "America! Love it or leave it!" from the same sort of "patriot" who seemed to take it for an unquestioning, mindless, drooling adherence to whatever line had been laid down for them to follow- there was (and still is) an insistence on "law and order" where the only actual desire was for the "order" without much regard for the "law" part.

Still telling the same story

This is the official version of events then

"An individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently ... this looks like a situation where an individual arrived at the scene to inflict maximum damage and kill law enforcement.".

They should have gone with my 'Unstoppable Robot from the Future' it would have been more credible.

ICE is way out of control and the only way to deescalate is for them to be withdrawn. Instead, what do Trump and his lapdogs at DHS do? They send in more agents. Idiots. Trump loves to create chaos as it makes him feel like a big boy in control.
It's a feature, not a bug. Trump and his future "I was just following orders" sycophants have sent ICE in with the intent that one or more of them will be sacrificial douchebags used to justify a declaration of martial law. Then he can cancel the elections, which his party is looking to lose monumentally. He can round up anyone who opposes him as an enemy of the state, outlaw the Democratic Party as a terrorist organization. Hell, if he can just seize complete control, he could post Epstein videos on the official White House X account of him molesting kids and just tell everyone to go ◊◊◊◊ themselves.

Somebody said earlier that the US is no longer a first world nation. Sadly this is true and Trump and his followers are happy with the current situation, which would not be tolerated in real first world nations.
Jesse Ventura said it after the last shooting

I think the question now is, 'Once the administration succeeds in provoking civil war with the states, which side will the military take?' This could either be the shortest or the bloodiest civil war in history. It depends on whether they want to arrest a couple of dozen traitors, or massacre hundreds, maybe thousands of patriots

That's a no then

Q: Did he brandish a gun?

KRISTI NOEM: This individual showed up to impede a law enforcement operation and assaulted our officers. I don't know of any peaceful protester that shows up with a gun and ammunition rather than a sign. This is a violent riot when you have someone showing up with weapons

Oh...you mean like on J6?

... a review by CBS News shows several Jan. 6 defendants who were charged in connection with the siege were carrying firearms on the Capitol grounds. Some pleaded guilty and acknowledged criminal misconduct. One Illinois man was accused of firing a gun into the air as rioters stormed the Capitol.

Aguilar said, "Our report, as well as the Department of Justice reports, continue to show the amount of guns and weapons that were in the D.C. area and on campus and in the building by these violent intruders."

A CBS News review found a series of cases in which rioters allegedly carried or brandished guns. Some of the court filings submitted by the U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C., include evidence of guns allegedly in rioters' possession.

Noem: This individual committed domestic terrorism. That is the facts
According to the DHS, domestic terrorism is defined as any activity that:
  • Involves an act that:
    • Is dangerous to human life or potentially destructive of critical infrastructure or key resources; and
    • Is a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State or other subdivision of the United States; and
  • Appears to be intended
    • To intimidate or coerce a civilian population;
    • To influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or
    • To affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping.
The FBI's definition (on that same web page) is substantially the same.

We know, therefore, that all of these people are domestic terrorists:
The first two of those three people have claimed that Renee Good and Alex Pretti are themselves domestic terrorists, and the third has made essentially the same claim.

Question: What is the most important difference between the claims they made and the claim I made above?

Answer: Their claims are not supported by evidence.

CNN is claiming that a new video from a different angle shows Pretti was not brandishing a gun and that it was removed from his waistband just before he was shot.

A CNN analysis of video appears to show a federal immigration officer removing a gun from Alex Pretti just prior to officers fatally shooting him.

Video shows one officer reaching into the scrum of other officers seeking to restrain Pretti and retrieving a weapon that appears to match the firearm the Department of Homeland Security says Pretti possessed.

Officers can be heard shouting “he’s got a gun” when the unidentified officer reaches into Pretti’s waistband as the pile of officers try to subdue him. Just over one second after the officer emerges holding the weapon, a shot rings out, followed by at least 9 more, according to videos.
After the shooting, another officer can be heard yelling "Where's the gun? Where's the gun?" as they search the body.

Trump and his puppy-killer colon resident Noem are responsible for the murder of at least 2 innocent protesters...so far. Stay tuned. It's only going to get worse.

READ EVERY WORD: This is a firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there in Minneapolis today recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.
Lawyers filed this declaration in federal court following today's shooting. Minneapolis Mayor Frey said the details would be used to bolster their case for ousting ICE from city.

I can't take any more gaslighting from the hypocritical icelickers. I wish there were some courageous legacy media types --not you Bari Weiss-- to counter all this bull ◊◊◊◊, and keep countering it.
I just peeked at the National Review. I don't know who reads them anymore - probably not MAGA - but NR seemed very skeptical in its analysis

A.G. Bondi wants Minnesota to turn over its private voter rolls as a condition for calling off ICE. This is in addition to the previous demands to enter into a 287(g) agreement and other measures that align with Republican policy preferences. This is just more evidence that the ICE surge has little if anything to do with actual immigration enforcement and much more to do with bullying Minnesota into doing things it is not legally or morally required to do.

I clicked on a YouTube video of a press conference presenting the administration's lies. Fortunately, every single comment was "Don't these lying idiots know there's video?"
Now you see why the observer role is so very important right now. Ordinary citizens must continue to control the narrative and bring receipts. The FAA has issued NOTAM FDC 6/4375 which institutes a no-fly zone for drones within 3,000 ft horizontally and 1,000 ft vertically of ICE vehicles, preventing them from being observed by drones from the air. DHS very much does not want ordinary citizens seeing what they're doing.

Kind of puts this into perspective now, doesn't it, @theprestige?
