Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

Trump claims the ICE agent who shot a woman today in Minneapolis “is now recovering in the hospital.”

He was fit enough to walk up the crashed car then back to his own car before driving away.
He didn’t appear injured.

they’re just lying about it, there’s video everywhere of it. the whole country saw it.

will the conservatives play along with their ◊◊◊◊ bag nazi leadership until the bitter end?

Someone on MS NOW (formerly MSNBC) opined that this could be Trump's McCarthy moment.

No. There will be no McCarthy moment. Joseph McCarthy never achieved cult status. Trump is a cult. There is no decency, no logic, no moment at all that can shake the Trump cult. Most of his followers will never even see the video, and those who do see it will rationalize it away, because she "deserved it," she "was an enemy of America," she was "Antifa," etc. If ICE murdered a schoolyard full of children in broad daylight live on national television, these idiots would still rationalize it away and feel no shame, no remorse, no desire to change.

At the moment, I have even less hope than ever. And don't you (you know who you are) dare call me a nihilist. We're facing a horrible new reality, and it's hard to see how his millions of idiotic followers can ever return to sanity.

The U.S. is run by lunatics, for lunatics.

It is horrifying. The masked ICE agents approach the car, yell to the woman to "Get out of the effing car," and try to open the driver's side door. As the woman tries to slowly drive away a third agent opens fire. Below is a video cap of him aiming through the driver's side window and firing a second shot at point blank range.

Soros!!

Rats!

Nehls: I don’t like any of this. You’re going to see George Soros spending millions getting everybody ramped up, and tonight the rats are coming out. I think the rats are coming out tonight. Tim Walz—I would get the National Guard deployed immediately.

I wonder what it's like to have Trump's hand firmly and deeply up your ass, using you as a brainless puppet.

They are spinning so hard you can hear hum from here. They could generate enough power to run a small battleship.

NEWSMAX: I want to get your reaction to the shooting in Minneapolis

SEN. RICKETTS: It's absolutely terrible. Friday is actually Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. And we should really celebrate what our law enforcement officers do to keep us safe. It's really discouraging to see these kinds of attacks on law enforcement

It's mildly interesting that those who couldn't wait to say the 37-year-old victim shot by ICE is a domestic terrorist are exactly the same people who, just yesterday, were saying this (emphasis as in the original) about the insurrectionists who, on 6 January 2021, invaded the US Capitol and injured many law enforcement officers:
On his first day back in office, January 20, 2025, President Trump issued sweeping blanket pardons and commutations for nearly 1,600 patriotic Americans prosecuted for their presence at the Capitol—many mere trespassers or peaceful protesters treated as insurrectionists by a weaponized Biden DOJ.
The Democrats masterfully reversed reality after January 6, branding peaceful patriotic protesters as “insurrectionists” and framing the event as a violent coup attempt orchestrated by Trump—despite no evidence of armed rebellion or intent to overthrow the government. In truth, it was the Democrats who staged the real insurrection by certifying a fraud-ridden election, ignoring widespread irregularities, and weaponizing federal agencies to hunt down dissenters, all while Pelosi’s own security lapses invited the chaos they later exploited to seize and consolidate power. This gaslighting narrative allowed them to persecute innocent Americans, silence opposition, and distract from their own role in undermining democracy.

It would of course be a lot more interesting if their lies were even mildly surprising, but they showed us who they are by telling those lies not just yesterday, but for the past five years. No one should have expected Trump, Noem, Miller, and the other gaslighting liars to show a scintilla of compassion or competence or concern today for the individuals and communities they have been quite deliberately provoking so as to create pretexts for seizing even more illegitimate and unlawful power.
