Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

33 year old British mother to a newborn taken by ICE whilst at a routine green card interview. She was completing her route to citizenship legally when Trump’s gestapo intervened. They’re even doing this as people get approved.

If things were a little more organized, a legal resident could have taken the open appointment slot.

The US has halted the processing of all immigration applications linked to 19 countries already subject to a travel ban, according to an internal official memo seen by BBC partner CBS News.

Immigration agents have been told to "stop final adjudication on all cases", and pause naturalisation ceremonies for migrants on the cusp of gaining citizenship.

The cruelty is off-the-charts.

Immigrants approved to be naturalized went to Faneuil Hall [Boston] Thursday — known as the country’s cradle of liberty — for that long-awaited moment to pledge allegiance to the United States. But instead, as they lined up, some were told by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services officials that they couldn’t proceed due to their countries of origin. “One of our clients said that she had gone to her oath ceremony because she hadn’t received the cancellation notice in time,” said Gail Breslow, executive director of Project Citizenship. “She showed up as scheduled, and when she arrived, officers were asking everyone what country they were from, and if they said a certain country, they were told to step out of line and that their oath ceremonies were canceled.” That client, a Haitian woman in her 50s, has had a green card since the early 2000s... was she illegal?
A British mother who was detained by ICE at as she held her baby during her green card appointment has been released.

Katie Paul, 33, was apprehended as at an immigration office in San Diego on November 19 with her husband and six-month-old son.

She was at a routine green card appointment at the US Citizenship and Immigration Services office, expecting to finalize paperwork needed for permanent residency.

But instead she was handcuffed and dragged away by three ICE agents seconds after handing their son to her husband Stephen Paul, also 33.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement claimed she overstayed her visa after moving to the US to be with him last September.

The couple were married a month after Paul arrived. She planned to go back to the UK while her permanent residency was being approved, but was told her pregnancy was too high risk to travel.

Paul claimed she was previously told by immigration officials that her visa status wouldn't be a problem and the meeting was meant to get her paperwork in order and have her green card approved then and there, or just days later.

The new mother endured six days in immigration detention until she was released and given a green card after her husband filed a lawsuit.
...
Federal laws passed in 1986 allow spouses of US citizens who entered the country legally to be eligible for permanent residency even if their visa expires.
....
Katie recounted that agents in the detention center told her she was 'not the sort of person we're supposed to be arresting'... officers would only say: 'I'm sorry. We've tried to not have to do it, but we've got direct orders.'

One of these days they will do this and someone will snap and retaliate.
Maybe that's the plan.

“This is your one and only warning!”

Video I obtained for @StatusCoup shows ICE threatening a person in Richfield, MN for watching them. The agents reach into the car and repeatedly yell at the driver.

Congresswoman, which of the drug dealers, rapists, and child predators detained at North Lake are the “loved ones” you’re referring to?

Don’t be shy. America wants to know

It is so gross that The Regime says this kind of nonsense and even worse that MAGA people eat it up. I truly hope that all involved with the illegal activities of The Regime are held to account.

Literally overstayed her visa. It's right there in the article.

Insert picture of left hand not knowing what right hand is up to.
This is also, literally, in the article.

That's definitely the plan. That's explicitly and specifically the plan.

As soon as someone snaps and retaliates, that validates all of the righties' rhetoric about violent Antifa terrorists, and justifies the imposition of more force, up to and including martial law.

You're looking at the plan for the fascist coup.

ICE illegally broke into a home in Burnsville, Minnesota, without a warrant, searched the entire residence, broke down doors, and detained U.S. citizens.

According to the family, everything started when a couple renting the basement was followed home from the grocery store by ICE agents. Ring footage shows agents detaining the man while the woman ran into the house with her 7-year-old son.

That’s when the chaos began.

Angel, the owner of the house, says ICE agents forced their way inside without showing a warrant, then took his sister, mom, daughter, and niece into the kitchen, made them hand over their phones, and pointed guns at them, telling them not to move.

He says all four are U.S. citizens… and only after they were terrified at gunpoint did they finally get the chance to show their paperwork.

And to make this even worse, the man detained outside the house had a work permit, which is more than Melania Trump had when she came to America, and allegedly worked without a work permit.

This raid raises urgent questions: if ICE can allegedly storm the homes of U.S. citizens without a warrant, what protections do any of us really have

This is the point. Once all opposition is labeled terrorism, they'll remove all legal protections.

We're at the step where even white citizens are detained, at gunpoint, by thugs kicking in their doors. The next step, I'm sure, will be to detain white citizens (eta: and minorities, obviously) and not return them. They're just taken away and no one knows where they go. Maybe ICE will even disawov any knowledge of them. The Thomspons? We never sent anyone to that house, must be those ICE impersonators we keep hearing about.
