Trump administration blocks Harvard's ability to enroll international students

Harvard has the best law school in the country, and its professors are among the beat lawyers. There is nothing to keep them from giving their legal advice to Harvard. Harvard is not a good organization to pick a legal fight with.
That only matters if court decisions matter anymore, and as we are seeing in their treatment of migrants they clearly do not matter so why would lawyers help them, sure they win in court and then there is no one to force the government to care about such a ruling.

Stolen from who and by who?
from the Workers: for more than 3 decades, the rise in productivity has not resulted in a rise of pay - on the contrary. This is trillions and trillions of money that belongs to the workers that the owners have with withheld for themselves.
On top of that, by far the biggest financial crime in the US is Wage Theft: companies just not paying their workers for overtime etc., which is at least $3billion a year; add to that the countless number of Pension Funds plundered.

The US has been stealing money from the workers and giving it to the Rich - the bare minimum required to restore social peace would be to give the stolen money back. The just thing would of course be to treat the thieves like the criminals they are.

If we double US wages, prices will quickly follow suit. Which means basically zero net effect on our wealth.

You don't. You spend the money on better health care, infrastructure, education etc. That could even lead to more jobs, less inequality and result in higher tax revenues. I know it's not as effective as letting money trickle down from the billionaires but still...

Most small employers will also go out of business if we double wages.

Unless we also quickly double prices.

Again, net effect vanishes.

It's always interesting to see how special the US is. Paying workers a good livable wage, with a social security net and social healthcare did not raise prices to unbearable levels in the rest of the western world. Sure, some rich individuals might have gotten slightly less rich, but they still managed to become very rich.

So you think doubling wages over night would not cause massive inflation? Would not cause massive shortages? Would not cause mass layoffs?

How else you gonna give $10 trillion back to the middle class?
Taxes? Especially the rich? Close the loopholes that allow people like Trump to fail again and again while keeping their money by stealing it from those they did 'business' with? Enact laws that a significant portion of a corporations profit is only low or non taxed if it is invested into the company, including it's employees by things like good safety, paid maternity/paternity leave, paid holidays, enough personnel etc etc.

Again, part of the weird US bubble seems to be that low income workers can be convinced to vote against taxing the rich. which leads to the idiocies where only the rich get tax breaks.
