I recently got a new iPod Classic 160GB. When I try and eject it from the computer (either by: iTunes, the eject icon on the tray or right clicking the iPod drive that appears in My Computer) I get the following error message:
The iPod "XXXX" cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application.
I have found a temporary solution which is to simply to shutdown the computer which automatically disconnects the iPod, but this is frustrating if I want to disconnect the iPod without shutting down.
I assume some application is accessing my iPod even in the slightest way which is causing the problem, but after opening task manager, I have no idea what sort of application could be the culprit and it will be tedious finding out. It still persists even when I close every program I have open (including Itunes). Last time I had this problem the screen of the iPod said it was synchronizing, even though it didn't appear to be on Itunes, but this doesn't happen every time.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
