We think of UFO cults, typically, as being naïve, fancy-dress Californian affairs, scary religious Doomsday sects, or even neo-Nazi groups convinced that flying saucers operate from a secret Antarctic base. But there was one UFO cult at the opposite end of the political spectrum: a Trotskyite UFO cult.

Every possible combination will happen. All I have to say is fooyah! :p

When I read the title "Trots In Space", I thought it referred to an unfortunate gastric condition for astronauts in their spacesuits. Obviously I need to rethink that now.

This is a fabrication, I've never been in space.

That's Leon Trotsky, known as Louie Brown when he was in the United States.

Not you, :p

He invented Doctor Brown's Celery Tonic. But he got disgusted with the United States when a big capitalist took over the soft drink company he founded and marketed a bunch of fruit flavors.

So he went back to Europe and had a hand in the overthrowing of the Tsar.

Later, Stalin chased him out of Russia and he ended up in Mexico.

In Mexico, through proxies in the USA, he founded Taco Bell.

For this Stalin had him tracked down and killed.

Didn't he also get stabbed to death by Courtney Cox while advertising said soft drink?

It was Courtney Love, and the guy who got stabbed to death was Larry Pepsico. A different person, but with so similar a resume your confusion is completely understandable.

As well he should have.

Oh, yeah, Juan Posadas' little group. They believed in UFOs and, I kid you not, they remain to this day the only political group I've ever heard of to openly call for a Soviet nuclear strike against the United States.
