Destroy a 187,000 books! That's like a crime!

I don't know. I wouldn't say it is a crime to destroy say 187000 books by Ayn Rand and Elron Hubbard.

Thats not entirely true. Stuff about 50 years old tends to appear dated.

At 25c per book per day (my local libraries charge), that's a fair whack of cash.

Except, I know in our case the money does not go to the library. It goes into the city general fund, which then is shared out at the city's discretion.
