OK, I finally found it under Mozilla web site. The problem is in the DDE routine or something: the URL is checked before Firefox has a chance to come up. There is a folder in the Registry you can delete, and that fixes the issue (be sure to save that key first, before you delete it, just in case)

Can you give a link to the fix? It's one of the couple of things annoying me in FF (which I otherwise love. The tabs are great).

ARGH! Someone said Eudora!!!

Working ISP tech support EVERYONE would groan when they got the call from one of our 10 Eudora users. Although those calls weren't as bad as the Pegasus email users... shesh!

I have Foxfire at home, I thought it might solve a problem I'm having where I can ping and tracert to sights, but IE just won't browse to them, but when that happens NO browser works... so it's not just IE.

I did like FF, just haven't been able to force myself to use it much yet...

FireFox is a great browser, but personally I use both FireFox and Netscape. I switched to firefox after my IE kept getting nice little spyware browser hijacks, but I'm an MSN Chat addict and FireFox isnt supported. Netscape is, however, and it utilizes the same multiple-tab-to-save-taskbar-space theory, which is why I liked firefox in the first place
