This Just In! Ron Paul....

When the Paultards were complaining about the "Republican establishment" "censoring" or otherwise holding back the "revolution" back when they were flooding the social news sites with everything he ever said or wrote, I kept suggesting to them that instead of trying to overtake the Republican Party and force it onto a different path, they should leave the GOP and do something actually revolutionary, like form a new party based on their ideals and funded by their donations and efforts. (Think of how glowingly people would speak of Ron Paul then, if the effort succeeded.)
The few that responded back in anything resembling a constructive, non-troofish way were so wrapped up in the idea that RP was going to become the nominee that they were claiming they had to stay Republican because they needed the brand name and all the people that vote straight-ticket Republican to guarantee a November win.
Now, with their hero out of the running and not forming a new party or anything, his truthist followers are left to pull the Greens and Libertarians further into la-la land.

Actually, this guy has a good point. I always wondered why all of Paul's supporters thought he had a chance as a member of the Republican Party. Surely, the GOP wouldn't allow their party to get hijacked like that.

The problem is, where were these "Ron Paul is NWO!" posts before RP conceded defeat? The truthers were all for him until that; now he's just another NWO shill.

Reasonable people knew long ago that RP had little chance of success; it's only now that the Truthers are realizing that. And, as usual, they're trying to make some sort of plot out of it all.

Which is actually worse than just admitting they threw their support behind a candidate with little to no hope of ever winning. Instead, they're admitting they were duped.

Of course, it's all in the interest of shedding any responsibility for their own, poor choices.

I don't like the word "Paultard" because it implies that all the Ron Paul supporters are idiots. I prefer "The Cult of Ron" because his supporters seem a lot more like religious zealots than just genuinely dumb people. What with them constantly stating he can do no wrong and has never said anything that wasn't 100% correct and all.

Ron Paul seems to be an arrogant and ignorant person just like many of the twoofers are. Ron Paul says that USA should abolish the Federal Reserve. :D

Perhaps the Federal reserve should be abolished? or at least it's role be revised. Surely the main goal is a monetary system that benefits the people?

There's nothing arrogant and ignorant about questioning the validity of the current MO of the Federal Reserve. And there's nothing arrogant and ignorant about questioning the origins of events either.

Jesuit!

Man that Dom is a freaking nut job.

I guess you'd have to be to consider Killtown a good friend.

Jesuit!

I usually shifted on my references to them based on how they acted and how they acted towards me. There were some Paulians, Ronulans, Paulites, Paulers and some just plain old Ron Paul Supporters. Paulites was usually my first choice.
But I ran across plenty of Paultards and even a few moRons, and was more than willing to shed civility to bandy those terms about, especially after choice words volleyed in from that side.

Ron Paul is a good guy. Old in his ways, yes.... its just too bad all these loons gave him a bad name.

Whenever you have a politician against big government, you are going to have anti establishment supporters (ie: truthers) following.

Truthers have nobody to latch onto anymore, therefore, he has become one of "them".

Basically, unless you are a truther, you are now know as "them" and "they"....

The Truth Movement is like a retarded King Midas; everything it touches promptly shrivels up and dies.

As a long-term, hardcore Paulian, I say: this is excellent news!

The Truthers have been a major liability to the movement. I am happy to see them move on to the next flavor of the month.

P.S. Ron Paul + XKCD = WIN :D
Well, good for you, then.

Too bad that Paul didn't have the strategic sense to ward off the twoo-woofers at an early stage.
