I have never quite understood politics either way. To me politicians are just wholesale ********ters reliably justifying salaries on collective stupidity. Think of the most successful political institution ever, the Catholic Church, and tell me who could be regarded as greater ********ting manipulators. They made people even pay for "their sins", were selling condos in heaven for the afterlife ...!
Those "whatever your favorite buttock is" kinds of issues are just some sort of "look at me from my best side" kinds of things but when you look at one's whole face, body and mind you will realize they don't look that pretty or different anyway.

There is that person of TheIntercept.com's fame using "Benito Mussolini" as "nom de guerre" who once stated regarding "We the people" that: "stupidity exists because it has a survival advantage".
Just notice right on this page those "'skeptical' idiots" talking about "tin foil hats". Some other people choose to talk about "isms" as if it meant any actual thing other than their neurotic needs to self-reassuringly talk about something ..., but, hey!, as that comedian (Seinfeld?) put it: "it is not a lie anymore if you choose to believe it".
I think it was right on this thread that I was letting you know that those gulags stories are crass and factually baseless exaggerations that gringos incorporated into their many collective delusions in order to feel better about themselves (they also consider themselves to be "'the' 'brave'" when pretty much all they have ever done is abusing people who couldn't defend themselves on an equal basis). I was not surprised but somewhat amused when I got angry reactions from you: "why are you bothering us with truths ...", "you must be mentally ill", "you disable javascript in order to browse the Internet which proves you are retarded", ...
What I find peculiarly interesting about gringos from an Anthropological point of view (I couldn’t care less about people’s ethnicity, races, political beliefs, "sexual orientation", ...) is that they truly believe that they are some sort of the betstest, freeest people in the Universe, and they prove it to themselves by buying "smarter" TVs with wider screens so they get ever closer to "God’s message".
I grew up in a country (Cuba) and went to school in another one (East Germany) in which the government openly and unpretentiously owned the media and outrightly lied to the people. Even letting people know with large capital letters on the top of the first page of their "official" newspapers.
They say "life is a bitch". I never thought that I would find that kind of open and explicit lying and manipulating less cognitively unhealthy, "more honorable" (to put it somehow). That is why, even if to me voting is like believing in voo-doo, regardless of "isms", I would rather have politicians like Fidel Castro, Giuliani, Trump, that crazy nut job they elected in Brazil, that Novartis lawyer defending ever greening and openly saying "he doesn't give a ***** about people dying because they can't afford medications", ... . Those kinds of individuals who don't give a ***** about pretentiousness are always less harming than politicians like cool ****** Obama, the Clintons, ...

I don't know who that Heinlein is and you don't seem to be one of those Internet bots (they aren't that good at elaborating thinly veiled threats), but they say "you are what you eat" and other people say (it is very hard to see if hopefully or hopelessly) that "one eats what one can".
In the latest "freedom-loving" incursions in the middle east spearheaded by USG and the british, they managed to greatly surpass the genocidal ratio of Nazi Germany during WWII. ("warriors" and "patriots" should be able to handle 3rd grade Math) and that is not only a figure. When Nazis went about their "freedom-loving", they went -twice- head on against people that could and did defend themselves on an equal basis right in Europe (they don’t seem to have been bored enough to go to the other side of the globe to "white-man-burdeningly" mess with "negritos"). They didn't use the UN as platform to stage their "alliance of the willing" WMD lies and, after those pesky Russians stopped their offensive at great cost (like one fifth of their population), Nazis seized upon the chance to really test if "'God' was with them" as they were being run over all the way back to Berlin. To me this is having and putting to the test a belief. It was later that gringos were collectively brainwashed into believing that WWII was won through gringo and British spy games.
