-When you renew your license (every four years around here), you have to certify the information is still correct, or change it. Not indicating a weight change can be interpreted as deliberately falsifying your official ID.

-When I got my first DL as a teen, I wasn't sure what color to put for my eyes. They are kind of a pale slate color, so is that blue, green or gray on the DMV color wheel? The worker there, who was apparently more oblivious to color names than me, said the color was called hazel. For like 30 years, my license said I had hazel eyes, till I changed it to blue. Interestingly, they had no issue with how I managed to change my eye color, which I changed online

My eyes were hazel for decades, but when I moved to Vermont 35+ years ago I said "**** that" and put them down as gray and grey they will be forever after.

I went the opposite way. Thought my eyes were brown my whole life because nobody bothered to actually look very hard. They have brown in them, sure, but just as much green and a bit of gray, too. They're hazel! Didn't bother making the change on my license, though.

And I would guess that reason is to have a physical description on file to assist with the manhunt that will commence when they discover the weight shown on my driver's license is not my current weight, but my weight circa 2014.

But officer, the Department of Motor Vehicles didn't even ask about my weight. Not so's I recall. They must have copied that weight from my previous license at every renewal and whenever I moved to a new state.​

The forum software thinks I misspelled "color", and (in a different post) misspelled "center", though it didn't complain about my spelling of "license". Do I need to worry about the fascists who will arrest me for not using British spellings?

My brother despised Trump, coming out of a 40 year break from voting to vote for Clinton in 2016 and Biden in 2020. He even donated money to the Lincoln Project before the 2020 election. The Lincoln Project was started by Republicans who worked to keep Trump out of the White House. My brother died in 2023, so did not have to witness Trump a second time.

Out of curiosity, I went to the Lincoln Project site a few months ago and clicked on one of their videos. It was a bunch of children talking about the evils of dictatorship. Interspersed among these 10 year old experts on history were videos of Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin. I wondered why Mao was not included. Well, I had no reason to look at anything else they had to offer and left.

Some use the term deranged. Another would be unhinged. And these Republicans would like a non-voter like me to take them seriously.

I haven't visited the Lincoln Project, and probably won't, having never been in their consitutency anyway, but I can recall that when young I was a good bit more doctrinaire than I am now. I would suggest that one phenomenon we've seen a lot among Republicans recently is how quickly "never Trumpers" buckle and decide, "well, maybe Trump this time." Maybe the ten year olds are the last ones to be co-opted and corrupted.

There's quite a bit of variety, though. The ones directed directly at the chubby little bastard, narrated by women in a mocking tone, are incredibly amusing.
 
At some point I'll go there just in case there's something I can use in argument, but I'm pretty much a blue-dog Democrat already, and with the world as it is now, reaching the point where I'm not even sure how important it is if the dog is alive.

In 2017, I reminded my brother that we elected another bullying, narcissistic misogynist in 1992 and people loved him. I once heard that Clinton was the most intelligent president in the history of the United States.

Here is the important question. How seriously am I supposed to view those who can so easily minimize Nazi Germany?

Mao wasn't included because of Nixon. Remember the Lincoln project are more interested in reverting their party to that of the Bushs, not in actually fixing it. They're against TACO because he's so open about the hate, not becauseof the hate itself.
