Anybody know who said this?

" 'Evidence' is not always what it's cracked up to be. As the saying goes "Absence of evidence, is NOT evidence of absence". Evidence is subject to interpretation, evidence can be manipulated. It is not an entity impervious to corruption. Collecting specific evidence, while ignoring other potential sources, can never be a fool-proof method of investigation."

Evidence should be questioned and verified, and other potential sources shouldn't be ignored, but should be subject to the same scrutiny. However, you seem to ignore evidence that doesn't agree with your story in favor of "other potential sources" that you agree with, and never question or double-check these other sources. In the end you don't understand the quote.

In fact, who's the site statistician? What "are" the chances that "you" are ALL right, and "we" are ALL wrong? Anybody know that one?

p.s. Explanations in layman's terms, please!

My guess is they are very slim indeed!

He’s an attention-seeker. Ignore him.

And if you weren't yourself, you'd be doing what you advise everyone else to do.

Only you are doing it by whining, and I'm actually keeping people slightly interested. Don't slam the door on the way out!;)

Come on guys, and the very odd gal, don't ignore me, make me shut up. It shouldn't be too hard. I'm only an ignorant, semi-literate apologist for murderous, god-less Arabs.

You don't seem to be up to speed on the hijackers' motives.

Well, as that seems to be the general, Western/Christian consideration of Muslim beliefs, I'd say I was a bit more up to speed than you lot seem to be!;)

He can't hear you. :D

Oh he can hear me, he just cannot respond (probably just as well). When you are banned, you still have access to the public areas of the forum to read things. If you go to the front page of the CT sub-forum, you can see a list of who is currently logged in and viewing threads.

Hi CJOKUSAP! I see you down there. :w2:

ETA: Whoops, he just logged off. Oh well. Christophera is still around, you can wave to him instead. 28thK logs in from time to time as well.

Ahh, I see.

On our forum once you're banned trying to access the site gives you a horrifyingly offensive comment followed by a request to check out Disney.com.

Well, I'm sorry it was such a nice day out yesterday that I went outside and missed this last bit of exchanges. I for one wasn't about to make him/her "Shut-up" since every time he/she posted he/she made a bigger fool of himself/herself.

Holy crap, I think I found a quote much like it. In an episode of "Star Trek: Voyager" called Living Witness. The EMH say much the same thing, except for the "absence of evidence" thing (which I always think is a cop out for not having any proof).
