Cue the swarm of Europeans to screech at us about how they pay more for gas even though nobody asked..

Governor Kristi Noem tweeted

Gas prices are skyrocketing. Gas shortages are hitting parts of America.

We knew this would happen when President Biden cancelled the Keystone XL Pipeline and reversed our America-first energy policies.

They/she is really catering to the ignorant.

It's not like the actual problem hasn't been in the headlines for days. I can't believe she doesn't know that.

Screw the Euros, how about us Canadians?

Except my local gas went down by two cents a litre this week....

Eric Trump has said President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are "lazy" compared to his father and claimed there's a "vacuum" of power at the White House.

Trump spoke to Newsmax TV's Cortes & Pellegrino on Monday and highlighted the recent spike in gas prices and increased migrant crossings at the southern border, among other issues.

"You know, it's sad. My father had these problems under control," Trump said, calling the border situation "an absolute mess" and touting the U.S.-Mexico border wall, which was a major plank of the former president's 2016 campaign.

I think they're lazy, I think they lack motivation. I think they lack the charisma to do what my father did.
My father was on a plane every single day. He was literally going somewhere every single day and where are these two? Why don't you ever hear from them?

They're not giving press conferences. They're not going out in the Rose Garden like my father was. They aren't doing press conferences as they're getting on Air Force One. They're not traveling anywhere. I mean, there just seems like there's a vacuum in Washington. There's no energy. There's no speed. There's no desire to actually fix these problems, and that's depressing.

People are seeing the mess that these people are making of this country right now, they're seeing how bad these policies are.
As all of it unravels, these people who might not have liked a little mean tweet once in a while, or might not have liked somebody who was less PC from personality standpoint – are actually kind of recoiling and saying, 'you know what, on second thought, that man was actually incredibly effective for this country versus what we have right now.'

And I think what it's going to lead to in 2022 is going to be incredible. I think what it's gonna lead to in 2024 is going to be something very special. I don't think it's the last you've seen of Trump to say the least.

I really think we're gonna have decisive victories because of it. I mean, Steve, you know you couldn't have a larger contrast between two world views, and this current worldview isn't working."

They are trying so hard to find a way to make "Biden isn't out there everyday in the news because he's an absolute national embarrassment" into a negative.

Yes I haven't thought about President Biden in days. And that is such a glorious feeling. I don't wake up every morning and have to get a SITREP on all the ways the President has embarrassed us in the last 12 hours.

And of course the whole "Biden isn't traveling or doing anything" line is just a lie. The same day Eric vomited up this delusional crap, Biden was out test-driving the new electric F150, and looking like he was having a ball doing it.

And that was just one stop on his agenda.

BTW, I want one of those new F150s. I've always thought trucks were a prime candidate for electrification, and if buying one supports Biden over these idiots, well, I'm there.

Because trolling has become such a core part of their identity they literally see not being a constant active troll as "not doing anything."

Biden isn't out there as close to literally as possible ******** in people's cereal just to watch them get upset about it, so he's not doing anything in their minds.

They're just upset because Biden isn't doing anything......... illegal that they can have a scandal over.

Last night on one of the comedy talk shows I watch they compared Biden's 0-60 in 4 seconds or whatever to Dump going vroom vroom in a big truck. :sdl:

Oh look, the GQP is whining about gas prices. Who could've possibly seen that coming? /s

Well, it is something to whine about. It's post hoc ergo propter hoc thinking.

Blame the guy who just took office for the prices set by private companies.

The rise in gas prices was going to happen as the pandemic eased regardless of who was in the Oval. That was baked in the cake The same way the precipitous fall in prices happened when a lot of states shut down a year ago.

Simple supply and demand. The present price increases were engineered by oil companies and politicians 9 months ago. They responded to the glut of oil that was making them lose huge sums of money. Sales had plummeted and competition drove prices down. They did this by cutting production But this takes time. Remember the first stimulus bill? About 15 billion of it went to oil companies. Part of which went to capping producing oil wells.

Now that the pandemic eased, demand for their products increased but increasing production takes time and the oil companies want to to keep prices high. Now unless POTUS nationalizes the oil companies, prices are set by market conditions.

Republicans also whined during Obama’s administration when gas prices went down.

Boebert had the exact same pipeline complaints. Then she complained about Nordstream. I told her I would be happy with a natural gas pipe across my state. It could blow up, but never spill.
