Oh my. That being the case, the phrase I used that caveman objected to, "born biological gender," couldn't possibly mean true gender. It would have to instead mean something like, the gender most highly statistically correlated with the person's particular genitalia and other biological sexual characteristics.

How odd that that's exactly what I intended it to mean, in my post which, with the obvious sarcasm taken into account, was strongly in opposition to onerous legal regulation of transsexuality.

Context, meaning, who cares, though, right? Bad magic words! Must smite! Or something.

It's kind of rich for you to reply sarcastically to a question about requirements, and then complain that people aren't reading your posts in good faith.

For anyone who still isn't clear on who and what TERFs really are; another group of Feminisim-Appropriating Reactionary Transphobes openly allies itself with a reactionary-right, white-nationalists organization. WoLF, a group formed by nutcase-fringe pseudo-feminists joins with the arch-reactionary Heritage Foundation to oppose a new equality bill which will explicitly add sexual preference and gender identity to the Civil Rights Act as protected classes.

Conservative group hosts anti-transgender panel of feminists 'from the left'

Those invited by Heritage to share their “concerns from the left” included three women from the Women’s Liberation Front, or WoLF, a self-described radical feminist organization best known for its opposition to transgender rights, and Hacsi Horvath, an adjunct lecturer at the University of California, San Francisco, who formerly identified as transgender.

Throughout their hourlong discussion, the four panelists — at least two of them LGBTQ — shared similar views on transgender people and the rights many in the trans community are currently seeking.

Horvath likened the trans rights movement to “the new eating disorder,” and Jennifer Chavez, a WoLF member, read from a letter that described increased transgender visibility and acceptance as “a social contagion all over the internet.”

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, WoLF defended its members’ participation in the Heritage panel.

“Our foremost concern is the safety and bodily integrity of the women and children whose lives would be placed at risk or ruined if gender identity legally replaces sex under law,” the post states.

Monday’s event was not the first time WoLF aligned itself with a conservative organization. The group, which says it is “dedicated to the total liberation of women,” has previously allied itself with the notoriously anti-LGBTQ group Focus on the Family.

Fanaticism, like politics, makes strange bedfellows.

However, it's not entirely surprising that they'd ally themselves with white nationalists, given that the TERF movement is overwhelmingly white, and shares the same elitist, exclusionary attitude. While the Left is having trouble making common cause between its progressive and moderate factions, the fringe fanatics are making common cause to further oppress and marginalize transpeople, and are willing to sacrifice their own stated principles to do so.

Let's just say that renowned man hater and poor widdle white girl Meghan Murphy wins her lawsuit against Twitter, who banned her for hate speech.

Does that mean Twitter would be legally obligated to reinstate other accounts banned for the same reasons. You know, like Nazis ?

It would be really funny if it did but this looks more like a cheap ass publicity stunt to promote her brand than anything that's likely to succeed in the courts.

One thing the article doesn't seem to mention is that the attorney who is representing Murphy is already well-known for defending white supremacists and hate speech.

Not content to ally themselves with arch-conservatives, TERFs/FARTs are now allying themselves with nazi-wannabes. Definitely showing their true colours here.

I'm not about to condemn any lawyer who's out there advocating for freedom of speech and expression. Should it be shown that the lawyer himself actually is a white supremacist, then that's another matter.

The funny thing is, TERFs don't realize, or maybe they do they're just in denial, they've already lost this whole gender thing. My kid's in middle school and gender identity is everywhere along with the anti homophobic stuff.

TERFs simply to acknowledge that under progressive rules of engagement , they're the cis oppressors and they prefer to wallow in their victim hood as women.

Gender identity has always been a huge issue; it's just that now we as a culture are finally starting to acknowledge that identity doesn't always match biological sex, that there are more than two identities, and there are more ways to express one's gender identity than the socially-enforced stereotypes.

"Trans women are men" is not hate speech but a verifiably true statement given standard definitions. Just like 2 + 2 = 4 is a verifiably true statement given the Peano axioms. No amount of liberal virtue points changes that.
