So who's going to organize the Mingle?

I'm organizing the Mingle. We'll have one every night from 9:00 - 11:00 in the Del Mar Lounge.

Scrut, you of all people are against the idea? Only one night, a room full of skeptics looking for other skeptics (some of which could be women) without the burden of having to weed through the taken or not looking?

That's why we need to know where and when it is. So we know the single women will be elsewhere near a statue of a shepherd girl.

Nup. We're not fans. Plus one of the dogs is rather neurotic, and doesn't handle being away from family for extended periods. Might still work out, but it's not looking too promising at the moment.

Ok, we just got our profit-sharing for the year. Will they please set up registration for TAM so I can commit before I find something else to blow this on... like repairing the budding grand canyon in my garage floor, or buying a winter coat, or going to the doctor, or something silly like that?

I wrote my check to register for TAM8 at the end of February. Registration opened before that; I wasn't the first to register.

Unfortunately, I just had to spend it on a new water heater, expansion tank, and installation. Not all of it, but enough to put it out of my reach this year.

I'm seriously bummed.

Looks like my vacation this year will instead consist of hiking the beautiful hills of southern Appalachia, which is fine, but I'd rather have been at TAM with all of y'all.
