TAM 6 roommates thread

My (non-attending) husband and I will have a suite at the Grandview on south Strip, there will be a hide-a-bed available for anyone who'd like to stay at a luxury resort. Not the Flamingo, so there will be travel added, but I hear it's got great hot tubs. It's already paid for, so we'd be happy with being taken out to dinner sometime.

Our group can take one more!

Wowbagger, The NotSoAmazing Me, and myself have room for one more in our hotel rental. Check-in June 19, check-out June 22. It's a Deluxe room, the $119, 300sft one. The math per-head is in another post somewhere in this thread. :) Age and gender irrelevent, room is non-smoking.

Hi Michelle - How many roomies are you up to? I am keeping my room but would gladly take a roommate or two. Non smoking, sleepers, MUST understand bathroom etiquette.
(courtesy flushes, hit the bottom of the bowl, PUT the seat down.....)

Lurker seeks roommates. ^^;

(Unfortunately I'm not seen around forums all that much; I'm a student doing a full-load semester, so I don't really have the time to play on the forms. :( )

I believe that if I'm able to find a room to share, I'll be able to make it to TAM this year. (If I can also get a scholarship...) I'm 26, a full-time student, and I believe in bathing and clean clothing. Looking for quiet crash space! Due to summer classes, I'd be arriving on Friday and leaving Sunday, so I'd only be there for Friday and Saturday night. I hope someone will give me a chance and help me find a home for a couple of days...

Please PM me or e-mail me at katsuhiro at gmail dot com.

So it would seem I will be going.

I would be looking to crash with someone, and hopefully mooch whatever I can.

I do smoke a bit, hae been told I snore, and drink quite a lot.

I really just need somewhere to crash and shower.

I am extremely easy going, and realy don't care what goes on in the room as long as all my stuff is there at the end and any goats brought in are shared.

I am looking for a roommate too. I will be arriving on Tuesday the 17th, and leaving on Monday the 23rd. I haven't booked the room yet, but I will do so soon. Anybody out there want to share the room on some or all of those days?

I am looking for female roommate(s).

June 18-22 (4 nights). I haven't booked a room yet.

Due to sudden financial stuff, I may or may not be able to go to TAM. A roommate would help cut the cost and up my odds. Fair warning though, I am a night person and tend to get back to the room later than most people. If I spend the money, I plan on using every hour I can. I only plan to use the room to sleep.

Yay! I have a roommate and have everything else all set.

So, other than deciding what to bring to wear, I'm all ready to go.

I have now booked a room for June 17 - 23rd. Still looking for a roommate, though. Anybody interested.

Hi! I am new to this forum and looking for a roommate. Since successful co-habitation involves at very least non-conflicting personalities (and hopefully complementary ones!), here's a bit about me:

I am Canadian, 30, and in my third year of a grad degree in Earth Science at Dalhousie University (and starting a PhD in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Toronto next year working on Burgess Shale hemichordates). I am honest, fun, easy to get a long with, and very outgoing. Oh, and I don't snore! I am clean and comfortable with 'student style' crashing, e.g., cots or floor to save some cash. (As a field paleontologist I definitely don't mind a little bit of roughing it, especially given that my monthly stipend is <$900!) I used to be very active in the skeptical/humanist movements, but have stepped back a bit to concentrate on academic work. (You can Google me and you should still get some hits, I think). My brother Dan Loxton is the editor of Jr. Skeptic. You can add me as a friend on Facebook to see more about me.

Looking for one or more people to shack up with! Drop me a line at: jason.loxton@dal.ca

Cheers!

Jason

Our room is full! :)

It's Wowbagger, The NotSoAmazing Me, Zytheran, and myself.

Those who have emailed me, I'm sorry, but our room is full. (We *could* go with Wow's idea of cramming someone into the refrigerator, the dresser drawers, the bath tub.... but the official Flamingo rules are four to a room maximum.) Keep looking and posting here though, you're bound to find someone. :)

I think that people should still reserve a room and go, even if they don't have roommates by the time they leave for TAM. This way, you know you have a room reserved (they're filling up fast!) and then, once everyone's gathered there in person, y'all can group up. :)
