Not entirely true. Embalming does not stop purification, just slows it down so you can be on display. You will still liquefy due to bacteria and maggots will still feast. Coffins have a gasket to release gasses that build up inside. If the gasket fails the coffin will explode. Vaults may have concrete, but it's not hermetically sealed. You will still feed the worms as your liquified body pours out the joints of the vault.

Sylvia left any pretense of really being a psychic medium behind a long time ago. It's the ultimate gig--say anydamnthing and it will be accepted as genuine. Prophets have a long tradition of speaking nonsense...why should Sylvia be any different? Besides, it lends an air of divine mystery to the operation. Once you've got the divine mystery nailed shut, it's all go, baby.

Where "psychic" means "person who makes a living by pretending to communicate with non-corporeal entities", then Sylvia is certainly up there as one of the greatest psychics, but that is no reason to respect her.

I don't believe science because there's not a shred of evidence to support evolution, or the earth being millions of years old. Dinosaur fossils? Is she trying to be a Christian, yet doing actives that will get her sent to hell, according to their beliefs? Does she believe in "new age" stuff, and yet is fascinated by religion?

Maybe she is a Christian that believes in "new age" stiff. If so, she would be the only one. And the only "new age" person to vote for president Bush.

This has got to be one of the most contradict-ive people that I have ever heard of.

OK, eww.

I've always assumed (and I know what happends when you assume) that most coffins get crushed under the weight of the earth eventually, anyway so no matter what you did to your body it becomes part of the earth.

I told my husband that if I die before him, he should use me and fertilizer for a nice garden and just enjoy whatever grows. I can't imagine a better way to be remembered.

I like an idea I heard recently, using liquid nitrogen to freeze the body, then breaking it up into dust. No smoke, no pollution, a handy little environmentally friendly package that will definitely be that person. That's what I want.

Her many books prove that she has a lot of time on her hands to write books saying how great she is instead of saving the world with her mighty eldritch powers.

Sylvia is a cynical fraud who makes millions out of gullible people - I find that despicable.

Once again, thank goodness I have pre-paid for my cremation. No worm is getting me. Besides, I am told I have too much evil in me, and that it would contaminate the ground.

Her books go against themselves. She says one thing in one book, then the opposite in another book.

Like what happens to a soul when they commit suicide. In one book, she says that they make it just fine, but in another, she says that they are instantly reincarnated. On her site, she even states that suicides are sent back instantly, with no rest period, yet on her show, whenever anyone asks about a loved one that committed suicide, she always says that they made it just fine.

Also, she keeps talking about God on her site and in her books, when clearly God is out of the equation of reincarnation.

She clearly does not understand anything about reincarnation.
