Yes, I have used it, and yes it is reliable -- anectdotally, I have not lost any data this way, standard caveat. Yet setting up an NFS share is much better documented and nearly bullet-proof. NFS is currently the closest thing to a lingua franca among computer systems. YMMV.

As far as keyboard shortcuts go---you'll use Cmnd +W a lot for closing windows instead of having to go up and click on tabs all the time to close them.

I use Firefox most of the time on the iMac. I've noticed that Chrome is a hair faster at loading websites, but it has one drawback for a lot of people----Chrome, like Safari and Opera, does not support third party tool bars. I use the Yahoo toolbar a lot. Other than that, I would probably stick with either Safari or Chrome. But they all seem to work just fine for me.
 
I have grown to hate and loathe third party toolbars, and won't allow any of them within spitting distance of any browser I use.

Okay. Are you still enjoying your Mac--or liking it more each day?

What browser are you using? I use Safari almost exclusively.

And I still don't take advantage of all of the shortcuts. :o
 
Yep. There are some things that I'd like Safari to do that it doesn't - like search from the address bar, but whatever. It's pretty good.

Oh, I'd also like a good plugin to handle Delicious bookmarks too.

Instead of a plugin, consider using Bookmarklets -- short javascripts saved as bookmarked links -- to accomplish this. Please see this for more information:

If you find that you want to use many of these, you might wish to create a folder for them in your bookmark toolbar, rather than stringing them all across the toolbar.

ETA part 2

For Safari users, the first 9 bookmarks (not folders) in the toolbar are automatically assigned a key binding according to their position. IOW, the first bookmark from the left can be launched by pressing cmd + 1, the second by cmd + 2, etc.

Yeah, that's not what I want to do. I mean, I've done it, but the FF4 Delicious add-in showed Delicious bookmarks in a sidebar, and I quite liked that. There's no facility to do anything like that in Safari.

I've worked out a compromise though.
