I would be thrilled at a chance to question their patriotism. .45 loaded with Black Talons or .480 loaded with .480jhp asks the questions, makes sure there's plenty of space for the answers to get out.

Let me be the first on record to say I'm skeptical about this news story.

I'll suggest an alternative scenario: The soldier did something stupid and got beat up for it, then made up a very sympathetic story to cover himself.

I don't know, members of the 9/11 "truth" movement are deranged enough to do something like this, but your version is equally plausible.

There was a subsequent report on the local TV news site (which doesn't seem to be there now). An eyewitness reported that there were several uniformed military personnel involved in a fight - not exactly the "ambush" the alleged victim describes.

Doesn't it strike you odd that a peace-loving activist would pick a fight with a soldier? And do you really believe that librals think the only way to stop a war is by killing the soldier's who wage it? How about pulling those soldiers out of harm's way - but then that wouldn't really be peace-loving, would it, leaving Iraqis to kill each other instead of killing each other AND our soldiers?
