Supernatural laws?

I've read a fair amount of anecdotal "ghost stories," and something that crops up from time to time is people claiming that their pets act as though they are aware of ghosts, spirits of the dead, etc. For example, they will report things such as their dog staring at a certain place as though something was there, barking or growling at an area as though they are seeing something, or refusing to enter a room that the owners of the dog feel is haunted, etc.

I've read those stories too. My dog is afraid to enter my kitchen. (Though I suspect this more to do with the fact that she hates the linoleum.) Animals are also supposed to be sensitive to earthquakes. Well, during the big quake in Oakland, CA, the only thing that freaked out my cat was me - leaping across the room for the doorway!

You mean places such as Geller's imagination?

Speaking of Geller, I remember many years ago, he claimed (on the Mike Douglas show in the US) that his powers were given to him by aliens from the galaxy of Andromeda. Can anyone corroborate this? I have nothing but my memory to back this up. It's just something that's stuck with me since the mid-1970s.
