StopSylvia.com email: "important about Sylvia"

I would caution you against making assumptions like this. English is likely not the writer's native language, and if I were to submit a writing sample in a second language, I'm sure the grammar would be atrocious. Perhaps nowadays in the developed world, English proficiency is a decent indicator of education, but we don't know the writers age or country of origin.

It doesn't look to me like a non native speaker of English. It looks more careless and rushed than anything else.

It struck me as a lack of education more than carelessness or a language issue, but I suppose that any and/or all are possible.

No reply as of yet.

Sorry, I couldn't read the thread because I am too busy laughing about Merlin Manson.

Although unlike others, I saw it as Marlin Manson, and got an image of Marlin Perkins from Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom in my head (800-228-9800)

He's apparently a Satan worshiper. Not so sure about Jim Fowler.

Poor Jim.

"Now Jim will stick his head in the cage, where the bird will demonstrate how it uses its long, sharp beak to jab out the eyes of its prey. Let's hope that Jim's plexiglass facemask is strong enough to withstand the attack!"

I think it would be difficult to find an intelligent and competent person who doesn't fit that description.

I once subscribed to a lot of things I now believe are nonsense, but I have to admit that I am really not so intelligent. :(

Not stupid, but not the brightest bulb, either! Well, at least I don't drool. Usually! :p

As for the email...wow. Just. Wow. I'm glad you responded as you did. I recall that once you said that Randi comes off as rather rude at times, but that you said he is actually pretty much a saint for dealing with these sorts of responses for many decades so well.

And for having had a stroke, let me tell you, Robert, that you are SO patient! After my father had each of his, he got less and less patient. You seem to not have that problem. :)

Thanks, Minarv! Wish I could say that I'm always that patient in person, but my Better Half knows better, sad to say.
