Far be it for me to say this, as i am probably in the top ten for bad grammar ( if we limit it to pro JREF posters.) , but does anyone else notice how many of these e-mails wouldn't pass at a 5th grade level for writing?

To me it really says something, when my level of care in posts , blows the vast majority of these people out of the water. And i would postulate further that it is not due to a lack of caring ( as is in my case , i will spell check, but that is about the extent of it. ) , but a real lack of knowledge on how to write in a clear manner.

Sure, not every Sylvia fan is a drooling idiot, but the vast majority seem to be lacking in education as evidenced by their writing style. To me, at the very least, this would indicate Sylvia's fanbase is primarily the lower rungs in the intellect ladder.

You know i was going to rebut that with " But at least it is somewhat grammatically superior." but that isn't even her effort, editing staff would be doing that. Who knows what an actual post from SB herself would look like. ( one shudders at the thought. )

I honestly think it is a birds of a feather situation. To put myself in the mindset of your average, person of below average intellect.

Part of her nauseating biography on her website:

I found no evidence of her supporting any charities financially, wouldn't she have to report that on her taxes, is that public record?

Still waiting for any member of law enforcement to come forward and say yes, they consult with her and she has provided information to solve any crime.

Hi everyone, sorry to barge in on the conversation but I came across it by accident. I despise Sylvia Browne or any psychic that pretends to speak to dead babies and children for their own financial gain and ego boosting. Like Sally Morgan.

I doubt that SB uses an earpiece, though. I've never seen her get anything right enough for me to have to resort to anything but cold reading to explain.

I cannot stand her and I wish she were locked up. Why does she have so many fans when she is so obviously cold, cruel, tactless and insensitive when dealing with grieving and vulnerable people. She just seems to say by her tone "oh well, he's dead, he's fine, get over it". She has no empathy or sympathy that I can see. To hear her tell that poor woman that her bf had died in water when it was 9/11 was sick to watch.

I've tried many times to challenge her fans on fb, but they immediately jump on any skeptics or non-believers and hurl insults and abuse ! nice.

Watch that broadbrush there, snuff! While I imagine there are hardcore SM fans who won't let this change their opinion of her, I would bet that there are mild fans for whom this was the last straw, and a whole spectrum of her fans in between those two extremes, some of whom will have their belief in her "abilities" lessened a bit by the story.

When I first announced here my intent to create the StopSylvia site, there were some folks here who said "don't bother! Her fans will never even read it, let alone be swayed by it!"

When I published emails from some of her EX-fans, saying that the information on my site had changed their minds about her, those nay-sayers were understandably surprised.

Never assume SM;s fans are immovable in their beliefs. Logic and irrefutable facts are powerful things, snuff.

People often see what they want to see, snuff. What you and I see as cold and unfeeling, some of her fans see as "down-to-earth" and "pulling no punches."

I used to transcribe lectures by Sylvia and trance material by Francine. They were always saying how there was such a big obvious difference between Sylvia and Francine - Francine was so literal and so much more of a stickler for good grammar.

Surprise, when you transcribe the material for either of them, it sounds exactly the same. Rambling, run-on sentences, noun-verb disagreement all over the place. You'd almost think they were one and the same person! The same person who wasn't paying attention in high school English. Never mind the English degree.

I'm not sure it's a case of birds of feather, though. I did know a few ministers/staff/fans who had college degrees.

Of course, I may be just trying to cheer myself up.
