State Parks

I think this is the right forum for this subject (I accidentally posted it originally in the Reigin & Philosophy forum - where it turned into a slightly surreal discussion on whether Delaware is a state or not )

Anyway, there was a (UK) TV programme on last night that claimed that Delaware is the only state that doesn't have a National Park.

So...

1. Is this true?
2. If so, why not?
3. How do Delawarians feel about this?

According to wikipedia, Delaware has no national parks, memorials, seashores, battlefields, or monuments. But, "it does have several museums, wildlife refuges, parks, houses, lighthouses, and other historic places."

So, in order:

1) True.
2) Don't know why. Does it matter?
3) Don't know anyone in Delaware. I thought only corporations existed there.
