Solar Eclipse

There are times when internal lens reflections can be your friend.

Just don't let the Planet X people get hold of the uncropped versions.

I wish I had bought som of those glasses ahead of time. It wasn't very fun standing there knowing that you couldn't see the best eclipse in 50 years.

I realize this is advice too late, but next time, don't waste your money on expensive glasses. Use #14 welder's glass instead. A 10x15cm piece cost me Cdn$6 a few years ago (the 2000 Christmas Day partial eclipse). I just cobbled up a cardboard, staple and duct tape holder for it (about 20x30cm), to make it easier and safer to use. Works great! Since then, I've kept it handy near the front door (faces south), to check out sunspots. Some of them actually get big enough to be seen this way!

Speaking of the 2000 eclipse, a funny thing happened during the eclipse. I had to take a break from the eclipse to blow out the driveway. As I was cleaning out the intake of the snowblower, I noticed that the sun was shining through little holes on one side of the intake and little projections of the eclipse were showing up on the other side! Sort of a pin-hole camera effect. Neat! My parents were doing the mirror-on-the-floor trick at the same time, so I found out when we got to their place later on.

No need to spend money on glasses to protect your eyes. If you raise your vibration in the New Earth Energy you can look directly at the sun with no harmful effects, just like this guy:

"God" morning All

Hopefully this isn't too wild for everyone but there is no one
around me that I can ask this to. I believe as I have stated before
that I am progressing to a state where all I will need to sustain my
biology is breath and sun . I am not there yet. Possibly water but
maybe not. I examine everything I do without judgement or relying
on someone else to tell me what is "good or bad" for me. I have been
looking directly at the sun for about a year now as I feel it nourishes me.
I'm still not blind.

Anyway, about a month ago I noticed that I could look directly
at the midday sun without squinting. I used to where sunglasses at
certain times for driving into the sun but have discarded them. My
question is has anyone else noticed a difference in the sun's intensity
or brightness? I have also noticed a difference in the color of the
sunrises and sunsets. Anyone else? The pinks and blues seem to
be replaced by ambers and golds.

Like I said hopefully it is not too wild for everyone. I feel I can
talk about any subject on this board and get honest feedback.

Yes, I am afraid you are correct, BillyJoe. Not a single person has suggested this or advised him to go see an eye doctor.

I am all for people believing in whatever floats their boat as long as it doesn't harm others. This guy is encouraging people to look directly at the sun and the message board moderators there are not discouraging this.

:( :(
