Shooting/attack on Michigan LDS Church

An elementary school very nearby was on lockdown because of a threat to it, from a guy in another state. I taught night classes there (Taekwondo) so this hits very close to home, literally.
 
Possible religious motives:
None-LDS christians for reason mentioned above.
Former LDS member on account of being ostracized or just bitter about his former church.
Schismatic LDS member for similar reasons to other christians.

Not knowing anything else about the guy, I'd flip a coin as to whether he'd be left or right but if posts in this thread are correct, he seems to be MAGA. MAGA's biggest crowd are self-professed evangelicals that don't go to church, so former LDS seems likely.

The shirt he’s wearing in the photo suggests he is. It’s a Trump campaign shirt that says, “Make liberals cry again 2020.”

Allegations that he thought Mormons are “anti-Christs” doesn’t differentiate between a disaffected Mormon and other religious objections.
 
I'm tending to the idea he was already fully convinced the LDS are literally Satan-worshippers, and then "they" killed Charlie Kirk. So he decided it's war. Holy war against the forces of Satan.
 
You know they kind of have a point about Mormons. The Theology is very different from just about every other Christian Sect. They don't believe in the Trinity for instance, which is one that just about every other Christian denomination requires.

More nazi on nazi crime. My prediction early in the year that the TACO regime would go faster than his inspiration but more stupidly seems to be holding. By this point Hitler had put a lid on most internal challenges and was rapidly moving to neutralise Röhm. Instead of that TACO's kids went after external enemies before ensuring their backs were safe.

No. Nontrinitarianism is a belief of multiple xian sects, Unitarianism, Arianism and some Pentecostals, for example.

The death toll is expected to increase as searchers clear the rubble from the fire. The search was suspended during the night due to darkness. There are something like 7 unaccounted for, although the FBI warns that these may simply be survivors who have not yet contacted anyone to report that they are safe.

The building is a total loss, but the cost of replacement will be borne by the church headquarters. It's not like they're hurting for money.

One possibility is he was influenced by extreme Mormon Fudamentalism. A lot of them hate the Salt Lake City Mainstream LDS with a passion.

That, indeed, is a huge difference betwenn the LDS and Mainstream Christianity: the LDS is basically polytheistic,teaching that in a future life, every good LDS member will be Promoted to Godhood, which is anthamea is most Christians. "As Man Is God Once Was, As God Is,Man Can Become" is a basic Mormon belief..though they often hide that from prospective converts lest it be too great a shock.

Which is silly, wouldn't that be the appeal? To become one of the Ori and gain the power to extend a beloved franchise's lifespan by two seasons!
