when folks claim it is anti-Semitic to accuse Israel of instititionalized racism and Apartheid, when folks claim it is anti-Semitic to want to dismantle the illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, when folks claim it is anti-Semitic to want to end laws in Israel that favor Jewish citizens over non-Jews...

Who are these folks? Mind you, this thread is about the charge of arson of a mosque, which initially needed further investigations since it was too early to point fingers at what was the cause. When this was done and the arson option ticked, then a proper investigation is to be opened and catch those responsible. The PA, along with EJ, jumped on the finger-pointing from the get-go. This was critisized by some posters here.

And here you were, and still are, in the middle making a boatload of racket about 'Jews can do no wrong' or 'Jews cannot be terrorist' or 'Right wing this, right wing that..' diatribe when nobody at all is stating such things, yet again, in yet another thread.

Understand the distinction, make an effort rather than this pointless ranting. I doubt you will change your ways since this is obviously your comfort zone.

Never mind, indeed, that when some months ago a mosque was in fact torched it was prominently reported -- and condemned -- as "terrorism" in all major Israeli newspapers, settlers' newspapers included.

Gee. Somehow the police forgot to "cover up" that time, and everybody in Israel, the settlers themselves included, forgot that "it isn't terrorism when Jews do it".

But there's use using logic, dealing with those who care nothing for logic, or for common sense, or for facts, and whose only goal is smearing the Jews.

Israeli Trade Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said the fire was probably caused by arson.

"I have no shadow of doubt their aim was to ignite fire in the region and this is lamentable," he was quoted as saying by Israel's army radio.

Clearly, parky & co. think they think that if a synagogue is torched, the Palestinians will immediately be blamed and condemned, and that jumping to conclusions will occur. That, in fact, is their justification for their own jumping to conclusions.

Really? Last month, three synagogues were torched in Jerusalem. And at the same time, there were three synagogues torched in Bne'i B'rak. And in Ashdod, too, not long ago. That's eight synagogues a year -- compared to two mosques -- yet:

(a) the usual gang here doesn't give a damn, as it's only Jews, and

(b) as can be seen in the media news reports, nobody blamed the Palestinians or jumped to conclusions. The police said based on the evidence that it is torching, and there was speculation that it is "hooligans" or "pyromaniacs", but it was very clear what is proven and what is not. Nobody even speculated it's Palestinian terrorists, much less claimed it's a fact, without evidence.

So.... where exactly is the automatic jumping to conclusion, the reflexive blaming of the Palestinians, the screams of "terrorists!" at the torching of the synagogues, by the Israelies?

You know, the obvious "double standard" that justifies, in their own eyes, the usual gang's screaming "terrorist settlers!" the moment they hear of the blaze, without checking the evidence, and then claim that it's OK to blame the Jews without evidence because the Jews "do the same"?

I got an idea.

Whenever there is a crime that isn't immediately solved in the USA, I'll blame Black people. If the evidence turns out to prove it was a Black person, I was correct.

If it turns out the crime remains unsolved, hey, I'll just stick to my guns -- you're not saying Blacks cannot be criminals, are you?!

If it turns out it isn't a Black person, so what? I'll just apologize -- or better yet, just ignore it and Blame some Blacks for the next unsolved crime.

Apparently, to judge by how some people act on this forum, this is a perfectly legitimate way of reaching conclusions and assigning blame.

Note by the way how the Israeli public reacted: total condemnation across the board... including by settlers... which was how they reacted last time.

IAs always they refuse to see the 60 year and continuing pogrom against the Palestinians.

The world can see the apartheid state of Israel giving terrorist settlers almost free rein to attack Palestinians and their livelihoods. The world witnesses on a daily basis the collective punishment of the Palestinians in a disgusting obsenity of illegal behaviour.

Only the zionists such as exemplified on this site so often refuse to see what is in front of them. Just like the apartheid Boer who also strangely couldn't see the apartheid in their system or felt is was the natural state of affairs.

The only weapons the supporters of the apartheid behaviour of the regime in Tel Aviv and the pogrom have left is demonisation. It is eternally entertaining if eternally predictable. In the absence of any rational arguments to explain why they support the utterly disgusting apartheid and ethnic cleansing policy and all the associated disgusting human rights abuses that decent caring Israeli human rights organisations highlight on a daily basis, they try to demonise those who dare to highlight all the human rights abuses and the apartheid policies of the Israeli government They still don't realise that tactic no longer works because the world can see them doing it so openly and so brazenly. It makes my case so eloquently and clearly - every time the rush to defend the indefensible.

Happily there wil soon be a Palestinian state and the boundaries will be defended against the terrorism of settlers by the international community.
