Search for non-Human Intelligence

Let's see. You can tell that we are uniquely unique because we are created.

And you can tell that we are created because we are uniquely unique.

Well, I was almost convinced until I found the following proof.

We are not unique because RandFan is wrong
And RandFan is wrong because we are not unique.

You are MISSING the point!!!!!!!!! {sigh} Einstein said God does not play dice with the universe. Do you really believe that Einstein was not a physicist? Einstein either believed that God created the universe or he did not. Now, if Einstein believes that the universe is not the result of chaos then Humans must be uniquely unique. That being said humans must be the result of a deliberate and purposeful cause. All causes must have an effect and vice versa. I will say it again and again until you get it. Humans are uniquely unique. My point stands AFD!!!!!!!

Correction, if anything, according to Einstein, the entire universe is "unique". Humans are continuous and homogeneus with the rest of nature. There is nothing special or different about us, or to put it in other way, nothing "unnatural" in us.

Ok, I'm going to make this as simple as I can.

Premise: Every event has a cause

Premise: The Human species has a beginning

Premise: All beginnings involve an event

Inference: This implies that the uniqueness of humans is not random.

Inference: Therefore the beginning of the human species had a cause

Conclusion: Humans are uniquely unique.

Humans are novel. That they are novel is proof that they are different than anything else in a way that other things are not. Everyone knows this.

If Penrose has concluded that it is impossible to build an intelligent computer then that is just further proof that human inteligence is unique.

Can you prove that any other animal has exactly the same abilities as humans? No! And you can't because humans are uniquely unique. The human brain is complex therefore our inteligence is complex therefore we are unique.

Charlie (smarter than a monkey?) Monoxide

There's a related article in the latest issue of Discover magazine.

A Trip Inside The Autistic Mind.

Not online for a link yet unfortunately, but the gist is that autistics think/perceive somewhat like animals do.

Jane... love ya to death, but sometimes it's possible to get too close to your subject. This article ought to link directly to a psychology page explaining the phenomenon of anthropomorphization.

I wouldn't say that to her face. She might get upset and throw her own poop at you. :D

Nonsense! She's a classy lady. She'd have it delivered, on a silver salver, with a doily under it.

eta: I thought it would be funny, but I was informed it was The Worst Valentines' Day Ever.

FWIW, I was deliberatly trying to set a record for posting fallacy in this thread yesterday. It was my contribution to April Fools Day hence "AFD". I'm not sure if I was too transparent, just not provocative enough or something else.

Kudos to new drkitten for spotting the circular argument but then it coudn't have been more obvious.

For extra points see if you can spot all of the fallacies. There are probably more than I thought. Or just ignore.

RandFan.
