Something's always bugged me about mediumship.
Why don't the dead ever tell us about the workings of the afterlife, itself?
* The limits, or not, of the environment they find themselves in.
* What they experience; see, hear, touch, smell or otherwise.
* Precisely how they interact with other deceased individuals and potential divine' creatures.
* What kind of information resources are available to them?
* How does their reality correspond to ours?
* Can they manifest on earth? If so, in what form?
* Are they constrained dimensionally, i.e. bound by the same rules of distance and time, etc.
I find it maddening that no mainstream psychic medium ever seems to ask for detailed, coherent description of Heaven.
Even Carl Sagan seems to have gone all new-agey, which is a shame. If ever there was anyone who could give is us all an erudite and thorough description of his post-death surroundings, it's him.
Of course, it could be that they're making it all up and just haven't thought about it - or are terrified of consistency issues with other mediums.

I haven't seen much evidence of consistency between psychics, so I'm leaning towards the former explanation.
