I guess Rosie doesn't want to go the way of Imus and is backing away from discussing 9/11 on The View anymore. And btw, she concedes that Saudi terrorists did 9/11. By tomorrow the LCers will be calling her a stupid, neo-con dyke.

Possibly, but I think she was getting nervous at all the hero-worship she was getting from vile, anti-semetic Holocaust deniers.

Probably in the same manner that she responds to queries on her blog - that is, like a 13 year old who is seriously challenged when it comes to spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization.
 
Pretty reasonable outcome, I guess - Celeb says something silly, realises she's said something silly, and backs down...

If Rosie does indeed get attacked by the 9-11 deniers for failing to be their long awaited Messiah, I say we should letters of support.

To be honest here i am not sure if Rosie has changed her stance and is not merely bowing to the pressure of being the centre of many hit pieces.

Here's why i think this:
See seemed like a total beginner on the subject. She was saying things like "fire can't melt steel." That's like Grade 1 in Elementary 9/11 Conspiracy. I hardly think within the short time she has been reading this stuff that she has waded through everything, compared the claims to the debunkings... or even read the NIST reports FAQs.
 
I suspect this is almost certainly due to:

1. The poll results that indicated a majority wanted her fired.
2. The recent IMUS fiasco. She saw the writing on the wall.

Maybe she has some close friend or friends who sat her down and talked her through the implications of what she was saying.

Maybe she realised the callibre of people she was siding with (see the picture above)

Maybe her boss told her to tone it down.

I'd like to know if Steven Jones is still booked to appear on The View. (if indeed he ever was)
