Romney Facebook Game

Unsurprisingly, liberals remain angry and bitter in victory, while conservatives move along with their lives.

I guess Obama knew what he was doing when he said, "Voting is the best revenge!" He certainly knows how to relate to his perpetually tantrum-throwing base. I was a bit confused at the statement... revenge for what? Milquetoast Romney inspires feelings of revenge? In who? Huh?

As best as I can figure, the "revenge" is for some combination of the following transgressions:

- Forcing liberals to experience constant teeth-grinding envy by living a successful and happy life.
- Calling moochers moochers.
- Making President Boyfriend look like a stuttering buffoon in front of a huge national audience.
- Living wholesomely, which is not cool and therefore sets a bad example for the children.
- RAAAACISM! WAR ON WOMEN! WARMONGERERS! EARTH-RAPERS! LOOK AT HOW ANGRY THE @#$%#^@ TEABAGGERS ARE!

Here's $10. Go buy yourself a sense of irony.

11,972,830 likes now

12,005,796 - 11,972,830 = 32,966

11,972,830/12,005,796 = 99.7%

So...admitted
Romney, despite losing a close presidential race remains one of the most popular political figures in America today. His loyal followers have continued to support him as friends of his Facebook page.

Or...
The popularity of Romney continues to fall as his previously loyal Facebook followers continue to unfriend him perhaps to show their displeasure at his loss or perhaps there overall displeasure with the man who never met a position that he wouldn't change if he judged more political advantage in a different course.

Or possibly the number of Facebook "likes" really isn't significant at all. [ETA: Or no more significant than the fact that I brought in my Obama yard sign since the election is now over.] Or at least it's not a good way of measuring the popularity of a political figure (or even a former political figure). Seems to me that since the numbers could point to either of two opposite hypotheses is probably good evidence of the fact that it points to neither.

Cheers, but my link amounts to nothing valuable. Everybody already knows Romney has departed to political irrelevancy on a global and national level. The "likes" or lack of them contain no new information. Gone is gone.

This.

McCain's FB page has ~881,000 and he is still a public official. Plus he has a hot sex-crazed daughter.
